Yeah, Met office say we will have a warm winter, then we get our buts frozen!  ;D

 - I have lived with my view since before christmas, when people come over they are like WOW! Theres me like yeah, its the view big deal.  :D

The met office didnt class christmas as a 'white christmas' because no snow was found on the met office....except everywhere else in the country.

Science can sometimes be annoying.

Ours are a two days' spring (literally, the plants go nuts!) and then rain. Period.
Maybe two months winter with mostly ice from all the rain.

In California, we have warm-ish, warm, warm-ish, and somewhat warm (spring, summer, autumn, and winter).

I hate it, though. It so predictable. TOO predictable.

I once went to visit a friend in Houston in March. It was 90 degrees and she had the air conditioner on. I can't imagine what August must be like.

I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Cub.  In August, our outdoor thermometer that faces west often reads 130 degrees.

I've never understood why english schools have daffodils on them since they are a welsh flower.

Yes.  Yes, we do.  Actually we fry eggs on it.  Seriously, you can actually fry an egg on the sidewalk in August.  It's so hot that you almost can't breathe.  And when you get into your car that has been sitting in the sun with no windshield visor, it almost makes your head explode.  Hence the reason I was so wildly happy about our foot of snow last month.

Wow. I never knew that you could actually cook eggs on a sidewalk. That's like a Tom and Jerry thing. That show is awesome, too.

That's rough. I wouldn't call myself an outdoorsman by any stretch, but I do enjoy playing with the kids outdoors from spring through fall in Illinois. We have our hot days too, but it's rarely so hot that you don't want to be outside. I would not like that kind of weather where I feel like I'm tied to being inside for weeks at a time.

Here in the Pacific NW our seasons are rain, summer, more rain, and rain with a chance of ice.

I hate snow, so it works out pretty good for me.  And it rarely gets above 100 in the summer.  So overall, nice medium weather, although a bit wet at times.

Actually, If I recall correctly, The ORIGINAL Six Flags was in Texas and named as such to represent the six flags that had flown over Texas over the course of it's history.

There are a bunch of Six Flags amusement parks now as the first was pretty prosperous back in the day.

See link for info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_flags_over_Texas

Well, that's what I said here:

I think Six Flags Over Texas is the original Six Flags park.  Before it became overrun with Warner Brothers characters, the theme was actually the six flags that flew over Texas:  United States, France, Spain, Mexico, Texas, and the Confederacy.  Even the beloved Spelunker's Cave was turned into cartoon characters.  :(

I live about 15 miles from Six Flags Over Texas.  I know it well.
Yeah, I didn't see that part right away.  My bad for not flipping back a page or two to catch up on the conversation.

I once went to Six Flags in St. Louis and was horribly disappointed since I tend to compare amusement parks to Worlds Of Fun in Kansas City where I used to have season passes for several years during high school.  Still want to go to Cedar Point in Sandusky OH to hit the coasterfest they have there.

One of my Sims has mastered all the skills. Too bad she will die soon.  :'( It took most of her life to get that far. She went on vacation to Shang Simla (China) for 12 days with her family so I could get her last skills mastered.

I also have a playable mummy living in the house! (Used a cheat to bring random person into familly who slept in a cursed sarcophogus.)

If she has mastered Gardening, Cooking and Fishing she can make Ambriosa which will take her back to the beggining of her current Lifestage.

I agree except sometimes Christmas is called "There is NO reason for it to be this warm"

My dad lived in Kansas and he used to tell me stories about taking his dates to Worlds of Fun because they both would have season passes so it was a cheap date.

I went to Worlds of Fun a couple of times.  Of course now, with all the different and new things, seems sort of lame, but at that time, it was great.  Not a whole lot to do in KC anyway, so it was great then.  I do not even want to think how many years ago that was. Lake Jacomo was the big place go at that time for teens, the shelters were away from everything. ;D

I remember going to Six Flags when I was 16 with a group of 50 friends.  It poured rain the whole day.  It was a total blast!

I lived in MO and never did go to the arch in St. Louis.  I heard alot about it, just never did made it there.  Of course, I left MO when I was younger too, so that might explain it, lol.  I think at one time we were going to go to Six Flags, but it stormed and we had tornado warnings out.
