Welcome to our Sims 3 Forum. Our goal is to have a friendly community free of noisy posts that are commonly seen on the official forum. This means you'll see no fashion contests, rate the Sim, avatar above you, etc. To many people this is not a rule but a perk. It is an idea that this forum was founded on so keep it in mind at all times. If you want help with something make your topic title as descriptive as possible. By registering, you agree to the following rules:
1. This is a PG community. Hate speech, profanity, using the words "bleep" or "bleeping" and/or abbreviations in place of profanity is not acceptable. Also, there's no reason to be unnecessarily rude to people. If you don't like something, you could just keep quiet.
2. Use proper spelling and grammar when posting so that it is readable by other forum members. We are a global community and this ensures readability by all members. Avoid textspeak and web acronyms - spell it out! Look at posts by esteemed members to see what we mean. Don't go overboard with smilies and CAPS because they annoy some people. The forum includes a spell checker, so use it. Try to make your posts matter. 'Me too' posts that are only a few words do not advance topic discussion. Excessive use of punctuation and smilies makes a post look noisy.
3. Any discussion of piracy and things like CD cracks is forbidden.
4. Stay on topic at all times. Don't waste space and traffic by bashing EA here. Use their forum or contact them yourself.
5. Do not discuss or link to sites that offer content which breaks the game's teen rating, and no direct-linking to sites that feature only Custom Content. Examples of CC are hair, clothing, and objects that are not included with The Sims 3. Game mod discussion is OK so long as the Teen rating is kept in mind and it is on topic. We now have a board for new topics about mods. Please read the rules and disclaimer there.
6. Individual users of this forum are to have only one account at a time. Creating multiple accounts may result in a temporary ban or worse.
Violating these rules may result in post removal, warnings, removal of posting ability, or being banned. We reserve the right to make judgement calls on issues not covered specifically in the rules. We thank you for taking the time to report spam to moderators. Please avoid replying to it. Finally, please be aware that there are special rules for sections like the Swap Shop, babble thread, and stories board.
