I can't tell you how happy I am that you all liked the way the story ended!  Now I'll let you in on a little secret...as I was writing it I wasn't sure how it was going to end even as I was asking each sim to make their decision.   :o

I was wondering, did you finish quicker this time and did the museum pieces cost more or less?

In sim time it took me 3 more weeks to finish (week 53 for the Faes, week 50 for the Starrs) but in real time it took me about a month less to finish.  I credit this to a better computer and more efficient gameplay since I applied the lessons I learned from my first dynast to this one.

The Fae museum was slightly more valuable than the Starr museum ($922k vs. $678k) which is what I would expect since I didn't have photos for the Starr museum.  I probably could have had a higher museum value if I hadn't made Glenys the painter/sculptor/photographer - she never died so the value of her pieces didn't appreciate as much as they could have if I chose a mortal artist.

Kat, congratulations! What a huge accomplishment to do this mammoth challenge not once, but twice. Wow. That's a big feather in your cap.

Everyone can check out Kat's updated Hall of Fame entry with a link to her great Fae Immortal Dynasty story. Well done!  :D

Thank you, Tom!  I'm a little sad it's over, too.  I'm torn between starting a Townie DecaDynasty (which scares me a lot!) or doing a Vampirecy - kind of a vampire legacy where my founder would have to:
      - become a vampire before becoming an adult
      - become immortal via an Age Freeze potion LTR before becoming an adult
      - marry 10 different mortals and have a child with each one (marriage and children only after vampire status is achieved - children would be kicked out when they reach YA and founder could only re-marry once the current spouse dies)

I'm trying to come up with some meaty challenges for myself if I choose to play the Vampirecy.  A few that I've thought of are:
     - founder must buy every LTR (except Fertility Treatment if so desired)
     - founder must obtain a level 3 visa and vacation home in all 3 countries
     - founder must max every skill (except hidden skills, collecting, and consignment shop)

I haven't had a very good track record of completing either of these types of challenges for various reasons.  Also, I'm not really good at juggling multiple games.  I like to play one through to completion before starting another - otherwise I kind of lose track of where I am.   ;D

The Vampirecy seems like a very interesting thing. I know that you haven't been enjoying the DecaDynasty so I think the Vampirecy is a great idea! I too love the extra rules you made.

Congrats on finishing your second dynasty Deb! I can't believe you've done two before I've even managed to finish my first.

I think the Vampirecy sounds awesome and would be something I'd even like to try out, given that I finish the Hauptmans.

I'm with everyone else on the Vampiracy! It sounds like it would be alot of fun :D I might even try to do it myself on the side just to change up my play.

Well, I created my sim for my Vampirecy, but decided I would try a Townie DecaDynasty first.  Tom has kindly given me permission to use Panther Character as founder's spouse and Joria has kindly given me permsson to use Fanta-C Starr as my founder.  Those two ought to make some beautiful nooboos.

I should have my first chapter up this weekend sometime.  Wish me luck - I'm still confused by the whole decadynasty thing.   :o
