Billyjoe Mcdonald 'can you spare a simolean or two?'
« on: March 15, 2010, 08:37:47 PM »
This is the story of a man named Billyjoe Mcdonald, born into a rich family he had a great luxury at the start of his life, everything he asked for he got no need of his was unfulfuilled he lived with his parents all his life he got good grades had a part time job at the local supermakret but one day he told his father he wanted to be a rockstar, his father was furious with him and kicked him from the house, with no means of keeping a roof over his head he was eventually fired from his job.

After spending what seemed like months in a deep depression he decided he wanted to be as rich as his father but with no means to do so he turned to the only thing he knew playing music, this is the story of billyjoe.

The first day for billyjoe went quite quickly, he managed to get two levels to his guitar skills and made a few friends, although he wants to go fishing which i'll save for the next day i decided to set him up for the night inside the gym for his first night where he used all the facilites an put them all to good use almost maxing his happiness.

I think i may create a rule for myself where i'm allowed to stay at a friends house once every two or three weeks but thats still undecided.

Tiny update and a question.

Billyjoe decided he wasn't getting nearly enough from playing for tips and took up fishing instead. He can now catch deathfish at level 6, so I hope this will elevate me past my target.

I found this is quite challenging because the nap option is really not very good at getting the energy bar up, so i spend most of my time napping and fishing so there's no real balance between all the moods, but it's a good challenge. I'd love a tent or sleeping bag though. :(

I know people read this; I've seen it. 0.o But I want to know if people prefer these type of updates or if I should just tell a story?

So far this has sort of caught my attention (In a good way), in my opinion its up to you, a Legacy would probably be mor eused to the Updates part but it all depends on what you want to do or you could do a mix. Don't give up on Guitar as Metro will say or has it can be worth it! The best place for Tips is outside the Theatre in Sunset Valley as it sees a lot of traffic!

There's also a nice technique to increase the amount of the tips.  If you play the compositions, your tip size will increase.  There's also an exploit with this where your Sim doesn't even have to finish playing the composition.  Just cancel the action as soon as he starts and it will count.  Also, if you have World Adventures, you can buy a tent without traveling by using the buydebug cheat command. Information on using cheats is in the Guide.

The Force is with me.
More like, "The dots and curves are with me." (Dots being periods and the bottoms of question marks and exclamation points, Curves being commas and question mark "bodies"   :D)

Stories are great if you have the time to write them, but updates are fine too.  Maybe a mix of both is best depending on other time commitments.

It's Muphry’s Law....

You had to have misspelled Murphy's intentionally. Too coincidental.  ;D

A bonafide google entry. I love it. "The name is a deliberate misspelling of Murphy's Law." Who'd a thunk it? Not me. Oh, well. We've completely hijacked type's thread, so enough about grammar.

Sorry guys. I haven't updated this recently. I' been working on my legacy, as well as this story. Not enough hours in the day unfortunately. Tomorrow I'll get on top of this, but I do have a small update. I'm VERY close to my 50k LTW. :D
