Not sure about anyone else, but this idea never even crossed my mind. I just assumed all kids would need to be born to the household.

I'm actually PMing with Pam as we speak. She's telling me that the no adoption rule should cover our bases.

--------

I did go ahead and add an edit to the rules after discussing this with Pam:

SCORING:

Anyone living in your household can be scored, but only spouses and their offspring can live in your household.**

**This rule was added after start time.

I thought all children would have to be born to the original couple but the fates were not kind regarding the age of my female :( She *might* be able to pop out another batch before she goes elder but its not looking promising.  Anyone know what happens if a female gets pregnant less than 3 days before she's due to turn elder? Or does that count as a strategy question? Looks like one of my boys is going to need a girlfriend.

Yeah, Nancy, your question is definitely strategy. Check out BB I. I'm pretty sure that's discussed there. Or PM me if you want the quick answer.

For a little while I was actually thinking that this challenge has been pretty easy... then I started having the second batch of kids. I don't know why but it's been so much harder the second time! But overall it's going well, I only have one more week left so I think I should finish it up today. I'm excited to see how everyone else has done!

Me too. annie when you post your results make sure to break down all scores just so I can check your math (i.e. Toddler = x, Child = y, etc).

[edited: Lisa, I'm sorry but I had to edit your response. It's too much info and goes into strategy. I mentioned already to Nancy that this was the case for her question—Metro].

Ok, now I have a question.

Say your mom cheats on the dad and gets pregnant with another baby with a different dad and you raise it. That counts, right?

Can the sims get divorced and remarried?

Nope. That's player error.

can the sims get divorced and remarried?

And how would this benefit you?

Okay and it wouldn't. My sister actually wanted to know because she is trying this challenge, as well. Thanks for the quick reply.

Finished! This was by far my favorite challenge! And I was able to complete some lifetime wishes that I had never tried before. One of the wishes I thought would be really hard, but it ended up being the easiest (and the first one completed!).

Here's my scoring. I'm really excited to see how others do!

Toddler: 12
Child: 10
Teen: 18
LTW: 32

Total: 72

Metro, hopefully that is how you want it broken down. If you need it a different way just let me know.

Congratulations, annieb!  Those look like great scores to me!  I'm a little over halfway finished and on pins and needles to see if I do well.  :D

looks at annie's scores
 :'(
I thought my soon to be 5 for toddlers was good. How in the world did you get twelve? Did you really have 6 life time wishes fulfilled?  :o
Feeling a bit disheartened about my meager going so far. I nearly had disaster (both parents dieing with 3 toddlers and 3 babies?), but managed to pull through with only missing one toddler achievement with my 6. So I was happy with my progress... until I saw annie's scores, that is.

Yeah yeah, I don't expect her to give me tips.
Though maybe whoever eventually wins could say how they did it? That'd be interesting in retrospect after it's all over.
Sigh. Not sure I want to continue mine now. I'll never get that good.

Its possible to get more than 8 LTW completed but there's an element of luck involved. My new spouse had a LTW that I already did (what are the chances?! You'd never have guessed it from her traits) if she'd had an easy one that I hadn't already done then I could have got 9 but that's just down to luck of the draw I guess, maybe I should divorce her and get a new wife lol. She'd probably sue for custody of the kids though ;)

Aw, keep going! Look at my scores from other challenges, trust me, I don't often do as well as most. But for me, it's all about just having fun and getting to learn about new/different parts of the game that I haven't played before! And I'm definitely a big family person when I played... It's like I've been training for this one since the first Sims game came out!  :)

A low score is still better than no score, but if it's not fun any more you shouldn't feel pressured to carry on.

I'd say anyone who finishes this challenge is a winner!  Of course I say that knowing my score is probably going to be terrible. lol

I'm on week 7 day 1, and I've purposefully stopped to play my legacy for a while just to catch my breath!  It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many people to manage, but I suppose that's the whole point!

10 Toddlers = 10 points
6 Children = 12 points
6 Teens = 18 points
9 LTW = 36 points

= 76 points

Didn't go at all like I planned but I'm glad I never did a full run through on my tests, I don't think I would have made it all the way to the end in the real thing if I had

Ha ha. Yeah, really! I actually didn't do any testing with this one at all. Nice score, Nancy.
