Hi there! I was worried it was too late to join, but templesmom encouraged me. Thanks!  :) I constructed my home last night, and created my proud soon-to-be parents tonight. I can't wait to start my 50 days of torment wonderful family memories, so allow me to officially declare my intent. Good luck to everyone! I'm actually most looking forward to the contest being over so everyone can share their stories and strategies.

Haha, I just started yesterday! Here are my beautiful parents, Miles and Claudia Baker. Can't wait to see what their kids look like when they're older (if I actually finish this in time).

Wow. If a pixelated video game character can actually be beautiful, then I'd say Claudia fits the bill.

I like them both! They have a lot of personality, and are easy on the eyes, too. Be sure to post pics of the younger Bakers as they arrive.

Here are mine:

Galavaen T'sarana, grey elf

Andriela T'sarana, wood elf

I included more of Andriela's picture because I think her simple accessories and back tattoo make her look quite striking from behind. Galavaen's hair is long and pretty, but he dresses pretty plainly, all told.

I'll include more about their back story and whatnot after the challenge is over; I don't want to give too much away. I already tested their genetics in CAS, though, and while all children are adorable in their own way, I think their children are going to be especially beautiful. Can't wait! ^_^

Lovely Sims, no doubt.  However, let's not get into the habit of posting pictures of our Sims on a challenge thread.  The purpose here is to declare your intentions to participate in the challenge and to ask for clarification on anything that's confusing for you.  We prefer not to host a great deal of pictures as it has a tendency to become frivilous, and that's not what our forum is about.  Please read the Forum Rules for more information.  The link is in my signature at the bottom of this post.  Thanks!

I am dropping out of this, sorry! My end of year tests are all next week and the week after so it's a lot of revision for me! I also have gone off the idea!  ;)

I am thinking of quiting this also. The first batch of youngsters are teenagers now and I've lost interest. It's boring. But maybe I'll finish anyway, I haven't decided yet.

Can I post a link to pictures, or shall I just send a private message with pics to interested parties (like Aegis)?

I think private messages are fine as long as both parties are in agreement about it.

Finally done!  Whew.

Toddler  11 x 1 = 11
Child  6 x 2 = 12
Teen  6 x 3 = 18
LTW  10 x 4 = 40

Total = 81, if I'm figuring this right.

Here it is. The challenge everyone has been dreading!  ;D Yes, it's going to be tough. Pam and I have been ironing this out for the last two weeks. I'm posting the rule set a day early simply because it is so involved and I want to make sure everyone is crystal clear on the rules and scoring.

I highly encourage anyone that will be doing this to be done with all other challenges to avoid any game length setting mishap. I'm not requiring it. I'm just strongly encouraging it because playing this at a Long setting would disqualify you, and playing other challenges at a Normal setting would greatly handicap you as well.

I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this is how I do this, but please add me to this challenge. Thanks!

Question: does the skill point for the teenager need to be earned while the sim is a teen, or can it be one they earn in childhood?

As long as they have one skill point when they are a Teen it does not matter if they acquired it earlier.

Um, yeah, so . . . my saved game suddenly won't load now. It loads about a quarter of the way, then crashes to the desktop.

Update:  I started my couple Angie and Artie Simtastic in Riverview on an empty lot.  Within 2 hours, Angie was pregnant with their first child, Craig.  Craig was shortly followed by twins Jared and Darryl, then triplets Kaylie, Marissa and Zoe.  Bye-bye "Well Rested" moodlet!
