Caption Contest #1 (April 2010)

Calling all witty writers! Bring your best one-liners and step up to the mic for our new Caption Contest. Rules are as follows:

Caption Phase: Everyone (including staff) is allowed ONE caption during Caption Phase (two weeks). Captions must be 50 words or less. You're forbidden to make any additional posts in this thread during Caption Phase. If you don't understand something, send a PM. Remember to use proper grammar and punctuation. Something won't be very funny if there are typos in it.

Favorites Phase: After two weeks staff will close Caption Phase and open Favorites Phase with a new poll. Favorites Phase will last an additional two weeks. During Favorites Phase you can participate in the poll and choose your favorite 3 captions. You are not allowed to vote on your own caption.

After Favorites Phase is complete, staff will close the contest, and based on the poll results, a winner will be announced.

UPDATE (April 12): The Caption Phase for this first Caption Contest is running slightly longer than the advertised two weeks. It will end on Thursday, April 15th. At that point, I'll lock this thread and post a poll for everyone to vote on their favorite captions submitted.
