PM me with an example.

Wouldn't you have to use Edit Town for that ability?
But adopting is fine, right?

You may add 1 Household member only after each Household member has placed their first Trophy Room object without help from another Household member.

That is directly from the rules.

I know I just wondered if there was any rules on how they where added as long Edit Town or cheats isn't used.

@Anushka — good job editing.

@Vegan — the rules are all there. The existing rules are mainly there to tell you what you cannot do. That's always the case. So, if it's not in the rules, and you're not cheating or opening  up Edit Town, chances are you're fine.

Thank you! ;D

This is kind of a challenge that is very very close to me. Even with limited simming time I have, I'm shore to give it a try!

This sounds really interesting! But I'm not sure I'll have the time or the patience to do it

With the horse trophies can you only count one jumping, one racing, One Cross Country?  Can you count the different levels.  For instance if you win a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy for racing does that count as three different trophies or can you only count that as 1 Trophy for Racing.

I know the rules state that normal fish and plants don't count.  Just so I'm understanding this right, outstanding fish or perfect fish that you can get mounted wouldn't count?
Also what is a plant grown from op?

To be honest I am not 100% sure on that because it would depend on the official name on the trophy when you get the in-game message. My gut tells me one for each of the types of races and not for the various places. But, maybe someone can inform me otherwise.

No, you're just catching a fish. I do not see that as a reward at all. Special plants from ops are the cheese and burger/steak ones and the Omni plant.

You only get a trophy if you come in first. But you could get 1st place in the Beginners' race, the Advanced, and the International, also in Beginners' Jumping, etc., and Cross Country.

Okay, thanks. Again, I suppose it depends on the in-game test message. If they are all somehow different, then they all would qualify.

My computer's only just been fixed so my memory could be a bit shoddy, but the names are, I think, like "1st place trophy in intermediate racing".

So special plants, (above mentioned ones), are considered trophies?  How you gonna place those in a room?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Joria, this is directly from the rules:

The Trophy Room itself need not be a “room” with 4 walls. Feel free to design it however you wish. Just make sure to only have qualifying obects in/near your Trophy Room.

Hope that answers your question.

Two questions:

1.  If you have placed more than one trophy unaided by anyone else, can you add more than one person/pet to the household per number of trophies awarded?  ie:  one spouse/child, one cat, one dog, one horse?  (Or any combination of additional life forms?)

2.  Do the special things you get for completing tombs, gargoyles etc., count as trophies?  Each one has a different name per tomb completed.

I am not really sure how to explain the rule...

  • You may add 1 Household member only after each Household member has placed their first Trophy Room object without help from another Household member.

But, I think you're asking if you can add more than one household member right? No. The rule says 1. So you start with 1 Sim. No household member added until Sim #1 adds a trophy. Sim/pet #2 comes along. You cannot add to household until #2 adds to the trophy room. Understand?

2.  Do the special things you get for completing tombs, gargoyles etc., count as trophies?  Each one has a different name per tomb completed.

Sure that sounds good. I guess I will list those as tomb rewards.

No, the household gets 3 vacations, and only one Sim can go at a time.

A few more questions:
Can Sims contribute more than one trophy? I assume they can but just want to double check on this one.
Do Sims need to be added immediately after the trophy is placed or would it be ok to wait and add twins or just two random sims?
Lastly by All school-related rewards, I assume the field trip objects are classified with the culinary and criminal as things taken home as part of a normal day. Is that correct or are those rewards?

They can acquire what, four different items but they are called souvenirs from the field trips.  I would guess no but am hoping they count.

How could you accumulate spots for two new sims if you can only add one sim for the 1st trophy each sim places.  So sim 1 places a trophy which opens up a spot for sim 2.  How would you get a place for sim 3 opened up if you haven't added sim 2 yet?

Yes, any household member can contribute multiple times to the Trophy Room.

Do Sims need to be added immediately after the trophy is placed or would it be ok to wait and add twins or just two random sims?

When you add a household member is up to you, but you cannot do it until a Sim has added their first trophy. And ONE spot opens up — i.e. Sim #1 adds a trophy. That opens up a spot for Sim #2. No more added to the household until Sim #2 adds to the Trophy Room.

Lastly by All school-related rewards, I assume the field trip objects are classified with the culinary and criminal as things taken home as part of a normal day. Is that correct or are those rewards?

They do not sound like rewards to me.
