UPS doesn't come to your house on Saturday unless you pay for Saturday delivery...but they probably don't have Memorial Day as a holiday, so you may get it Monday.

Pam if you are really anxious I know that you can call the UPS store and pick it up from there. I have done that before with a computer granted it was over 10 years old.

The tracking still shows arrival in Dallas, but nothing about being on a truck or anything. I wouldn't have any idea which UPS store would have it, either. It's not a big deal. I can wait until it's delivered.

From what I can tell you can't change the way they look. Not at the salon anyways but I didn't try to mirror to change the appearance.

Just found out though that there is an education career now. So that is pretty neat!

Awesome! Okay so I think if I receive my game on the date of it's release then they have to post it by Monday! So I can get it by the 4th which is 3 days which is often how long my online retailer takes to deliver (free!) I absoulutely can not wait and this is going to greatly impact on how much I do on my History Project Over half Term!

Maybe I'm showing my inexperience with the sims lol but what exactly is a robot sim? Will I be able to make it do gardening and stuff while my real sims work or skill? Amazon took the money out of my bank account and says its in Columbus but I haven't gotten it yet and there is no mail on Sundays or Monday cause it's Memorial Day so I don't think I'll get mine until Tuesday

But I think the wait will make me stronger! Or crazier, not sure which yet lol.

A robot sim is like a creature. In sims2, every expansion pack had a new creature that could be made, or a sim could be turned into one. They often act quite like normal sims, and you can control them, though they often have some unique needs and abilities. In sims3, the controllable ghost was the creature in the base game, and the mummy was the creature for world adventures.

I don't know if you can change them, but I think there is minimal variety, because I invented a rusty black one, and the ones in the movie are grey.

To invent the Sim Bot, you need to do 4 opportunities. First one is for one palladium ingot, the second is for 10 life fruit, 3rd is for 1 heart cut pink diamond, and 4th requires 100 scrap. The thing is, after you get opportunity one, and complete it, you get # 2 within seconds. Unlike omni plant, there is no waiting.

But you can get it with reward points too, can't you? Is the robot any different if you get it a different way I wonder.

And as for creatures. I thought I'd just list the creatures in sims2, if anyone's interested:

Base game - Aliens
University - Zombies
Night downtown thingy (forgotten name) - Vampires
Open for Business - robots (see the pic in samoht's post)
Pets - Werewolves
Seasons - Plantsims
Bon Voyage - Bigfoot
Free time - does the genie count? it wasn't controllable though
Apartments - Witches

Did I forget any? Some of them weren't that much fun in my opinion, like werewolves and bigfoot. And I never tried doing much with vampires, cause they die the second they see daylight lol. But then, I'm not a fan of the mummies either. Plantsims were cool. And aliens. Witches too.

Freetime had zombies *again* as well. It could be acquired with the genie.

Well, you have ghosts, mummies and now robotic sims, so it seems as if EA is pulling this 1-life-state-per-expansion-pack idea again.

I bet that when Sims 3 gets 8 expansion packs you'll have lots to choose from.

I have a few questions about Ambitions. I don't have the game yet, but because a lot of you do, maybe you are now already experienced enough to answer some:

Now sims can do laundry, do they have different types of dayly clothes, because they can not wair the same clothes that are in the laundry machine at that moment?

I've read that robots will arive with a taxi. Isn't somebody to invent them first and than make them before they will added to your game?

I've also read that a robot live longer than normal sims, but need other food to eat, like iron and other metals. Is there a way to make them immortal by eating a sort of food that give them the ability to be younger like that Ambrosia does for sims?

After a timemachine has been made, can it than technically being upgraded and so yes, to what? Unbrakable, sending sims to the right timeperiod they choose, paradox proof, that sort of things.

Can a robot technically being upgraded? And to what?

Thought they may have posted my copy today and just realised, why are my parents at home all day, it's a bank holiday! No ones working hardly, looks like mine may be late or on time if they are good at delivering! Late by a day or two though!
