Hi. I have a trouble in this skill and I don't know how to fix it. I had completed "Consignment Store Reputation" and "Consignment Store Sales" but I can't complete "Consignment Store Profit". I have already Impressive reputation but this challenge is still close. Can somebody help me please?

I believe you have to sell a lot of goods at the consignment store before you get this... I don't know if there is a specific price, but I believe over 25,000 Simoleons.

yes.... that is one of the challenges.... i had sell over $100,000.00 and i still have the challenge close.... and the challenge u open when u get $25,000.00 in sales is "Consignment Store Profit".... i dont know what to do

Because you have so much more money earned than required for this challenge, I am going to guess it is bugged for that sim, and no matter how much you earn you're not going to earn that challege. Is there a specific reason you want to complete it?

Please be mindful of punctuation, grammar and spelling. Also, we don't allow "text speak", so "u" needs to be spelled out as "you". You can make the changes in your posts by clicking on Modify and save when the changes are complete.

i have 1 sim with almost all the challenges unblock (in every skill), that's the reason

Reseting a sim is easy. First, you open the cheat console by hitting control+shift+C than you type in testingcheatsenabled true than hit enter. Than open it again by control+shift+C than type in resetSim Firstname Lastname. So to reset Cornelia, I would type in resetSim Cornelia Goth. It is case sensitive, so be sure to spell the name right. What this does is resets them back to a neutral position, with their needs met. So say Cornelia is stuck somewhere, or has something like a guitar stuck to her head, (it does happen lol) that would save her. It's mainly for whenever a sim is stuck somewhere or with something stuck on them. I'm not sure if it would work with this as it sounds like a glitch more than a sim stuck but you could try. It doesn't reset their challenges, skills or anything like that. It simply returns them normally to their home lot with the needs at least halfway met.

OK, I hope someone can help me here. I am playing in Appaloosa Plains and I managed to sell 147 items in the consignment store. My current reputation is thus excellent and made over $25,000 in profit. My current Sim day is week 5 day 2.

But lately, I noticed that I cannot sell a single item in the consignment store! I tried cancelling the items and reselling them again but it still would not work! To make matters worse, the items on sale still shows 5 days left even if consign the items there for more or less than 5 days. Moreover, I am not receiving back any items that I fail to sell. The items simply "disappear" unless I choose to cancel the sale. Then only can I see the items which I had consigned many days prior.

How do I solve this issue? I have to sell 150 items plus gain an impressive reputation at the consignment store as I am trying to crate a perfect Sim whereby all his skills are at the maximum level. This bug is ruining my challenge!

You could try going to another family in your game. The bad thing is I think you would lose everything you had done but the glitch would be gone. There was another post about something close to this.

There seems to be a glitch that cause what happened to you. Actually, I had it where I couldn't sale things at the store anymore.

Thanks for the tip but I tried cancelling the items already and the problem persisted. What if I load my family into the bin in edit town and then start a new game? Will this work. Of course the relationships would be gone.

To be on the safe side, make a copy of this game by Saving As and using a different file name. That way, no matter if you lose anything by saving to the bin, you'll still have a copy of your game up to this point.

Can you tell us more detail about what is happening? You said you tried cancelling the consignments, so does that mean that you were actually able to cancel them? Or are you getting no action at all when you click on the register? And are you able to still actually consign items? I mean the window comes up and you can select the items you wish to consign? Can you purchase anything?

Thanks for the reply. I can cancel the items on my consignment as well as purchase them. The problem is, when I consigned the items I purchased, no items were able to be sold. Moreover, when I consign items, the clerk tells me that the customers are tired of my items and told me to consign new types of items. The items I consigned so far and was able to sell them were paintings, books and wine bottles. I am able to consign them, but not able to sell them after awile.

I could sell the items at first and the total items I sold was 147. But after several Sim weeks, I was not able to sell a single item, even though I consigned the. I am able to cancel the consign items and put them for sale again but I still cannot sell them. I am so close in getting an impressive reputation as well as selling 150 items. Ok, I see! Try buying some produce and fish at the grocery store and consigning that (or sell what you grow and catch). It just wants you to try selling different things or maybe take a break from selling.

You're welcome.

Yes, you can sell those other items. Put them in your family inventory to be able to consign them. I don't work on the Consignment Store challenges that much, but if you just keep selling, your reputation should improve.

OK, now I am facing a new problem here which is definitely a bug! My Sim's reputation is now impressive (finally!) but under the consignment store reputation, the wordings which says "gain an impressive reputation for selling items at the consignment store" is not in bold!

Is anyone else facing this bug?

If resetsim doesn't work, and it most likely will not, make another sim and see if they can achieve it. If they can my first guess was probably right, and that challenge is broken for your sim.

i will hope that work, i didint try yet, i dont believe am gonna give it a shot today, is late amd am tired, but thats also a got option, BUT (i hate this but XD), make 100,000.00$ in sale will take me like 2 or 3 weeks

, thats the reason i dont wanna loose my sim i have played with him like 2 years and is very annoying if i cant see him 100% complete

, am open to try everything, even mod if i have to, thanks for the help in this days i will try it

Can I ask you a question? When you completed the consignment store reputation as being impressive, was the sentence in bold? I am asking this because my Sim's consignment skill is impressive but the sentence is not in bold.

Why is this so?

Eventually the reputation will show in the challenge part. I use the consignment store frequently in my games.

One fix for the items not selling that works for me: Cancel all consignments then save and quit. When you reopen the game, sell some items. This has always worked for me. To prevent it from happening in the first place I always cancel consignments every 2-3 days no matter what.

well, in carl's guide says... "This is an important one. Consignment fees eat into your net profit, and achieving the necessary Impressive reputation will make the fee $0, even when selling a lot of items totaling near $100,000 Simoleons.", but says nothing about make impressive reputation and do not have the sentence in bold (win the challenge), i also have impressive and over than $100,000, the other users says maybe is a bug (like Photography skill Dropa Stone Set picture), am looking anyway if i can fix this challenge (have the sentence in bold)

My guess is that it will sort itself out before long. Things like this happen randomly. I've had Lifetime Wishes not show up as being filled and regular wishes not completing right away. It's usually just a glitch.

I am sorry but I don't quite understand you. When your consignment store reputation reaches impressive, is the wordings in bold or still being greyed out?

It should be bold, to say you achieved it. But I remember long ago someone saying this is a glitch and it will never bold itself like the other challenges. You just have to mentally bold it out because with that much money and an impressive reputation it should be bolded. I don't know if the glitch was ever fixed, you might just have to move on and know that you achieved it but its glitched.

but that is the thing i really want to see the sentence in bold i wanna see the challenge done i have play this Sim for 2 years i dont want just imagine bold, this weekend am gonna try to do the option there was posted in here, i will write if one of those options it work, wish me luck

Sometimes it is a glitch and doesn't get bold. Sometimes closing the game and restarting it makes the game realize it's complete and it fixes itself. I've had it a few times. But if it doesn't fix itself, I agree it's annoying knowing you have done it and not getting credit for it. Good luck, I hope you can get it fixed.

I'm sure they do. Whether they fix it or not is another story, however.

OK, I did it at last! Here is what I did:

When my Sim reached an impressive reputation, he could not sell anything for about 2 or 3 days. Then I cancelled the consignment, saved the game and exited to Windows. It is not enough to exit to the main menu by the way. I also reset my Sim as well.

Then I entered into the game and consigned the items. True enough at around 5:00PM, my Sim could sell his items. Not only that, the impressive wordings appeared as bold letters!

Thus, I have finally truly completed the consignment challenge! Now, I am trying to get 15 gigs for my Sim and hope to achieve that!

Hope this piece of information is helpful to you guys!

FINALLY, i did my last consignment store challenge the "Consignment Store Reputation" i was Impressive reputation but the challenge wasnt acomplish, so i bought 99 tomatoes, and put them on the store, and on the first sale... DONE XD, thanks everybody for the tips and advices.
