My Dreamweaver Legacy Challenge

I agree Pam.
When playing sometimes a lot happens in a row and you just forget half of it or write a very long blog entry (in my case just this forum)
Other times you can play through a whole 'simweek' and nothing notably happens.

It all comes down to your own wishes really.

I think I might just start a thread in one of the forums and post the big events and the good photos. 

Thanks for the advice.  I was starting to feel like the only way to have a great Legacy is to do a huge elaborate blog.

I have two legacies, my Superbia Matriarchy, and the Ladro Legacy.  My Superbia Matriarchy has 8 generations, though the 8th gen is just at child stage.  I have 69 points.  I log mine at Sims3 Legacy. 

There's this document someone made to keep track and I can email it to you since the dl isn't working.  I don't know how to set up a dl and give links, so if someone tells me how I can get it up.

I use sendspace for things like that.

It's very simple, just Browse to the file on your computer, Upload File and after a little while you get a download link. Copy and paste that.

You can type in your own email address and you will get the link emailed to you, otherwise it's gone when you close the browser window. Also you can register so you can go back and find your files later.
But you don't need to do either of those things. I usually use the email option so the link is saved in my inbox, they won't spam you with annoying newsletters and such.

Of course the link goes dead after a while.

Carl, Pam, and Metro all have exeptional ability in the Sims. Pam's is her awsomeness at family handling.

Hehe.  Thanks!  I love my Dreamweavers.  I still pull them out every now and then.  In fact, they were the first to travel in World Adventures.  It just seemed like the right thing to do.

Indeed. I still can't believe I did as well as I did in the Baby Boomer Challenge. Pam really had to lay on the guilt for me to even try that one because I was terrified.  But, I'm glad I did jump in. That was one of the best challenges I've ever done and learned so many new skills in the process.

Because I'm curious and I don't think you said anywhere, how long did it take you to complete the challenge, and how regularly were you playing in that time (e.g. a couple of hours a day or whatever)?  Congratulations.  I'm always impressed with anybody who manages all ten generations!  That's a major commitment!

It's been awhile since I completed the Legacy Challenge and I don't really remember how long it took.  I played steadily and I played it a lot (many hours a day).  I didn't play anything else while doing the Legacy Challenge.  My best guess would be that it took me two or three weeks.  It's really not difficult after you get past the first or second generation.  By then, the rules were burned into my head and it was just a matter of keeping everything on track and having enough babies.  One big challenge was that story progression wasn't working very well back then and the town dried up.  I loaded some Sims from the Exchange to repopulate the town and allow my family to find spouses.  That wouldn't be a problem now because story progression is vastly improved with World Adventures and the patches.

You should consider starting a story or just pics with captions, like The Dreamweaver Legacy Afterwards or something.

Well, I don't have many hours a day to play--and going on vacations isn't going to hurry things up either (plus I tend to use 'pause' a lot).  But if it can be done in two to three weeks, then I'm hopeful that I can manage it over the course of this year!  Not the most worthy New Year's Resolution perhaps, but after a Sims free year, I'd like to have me some serious gameplay again.

I must be doing it wrong then lol!! It's taking me forever, which I don't mind. I like my Legacy family. I wish I got more time to play them. Ah, who am I kidding, I wish I had more time to play Sims PERIOD!

My Legacy has kind of taken a backseat to the new sim I created for WA. I'm just having too much fun with her!
