Wow, I want to know how others got such high scores! I still have a lot to learn about Sims 3...

I finally had a burglar in my house and the game crashed after my Sim had become best friends with the burglar. Of course, I had somehow managed to not save for a while. When I started the game up again, I ended up back a whole Sim day, before the burglar showed up the first time. So, I had to cross Alana Posey off of the best friends list because she didn't show up that night or any other night. I think that's the only time I wished that a burglar would show up. (Mostly because my Sim came across only two other NPCs in the last week.)

Burglars aside, this is what I ended up with:

Fundraising: 1049191 (1049)
Traits: 536
NPCs: 31

Total: 4042 (if I've added/multiplied correctly)

I just discovered these challenges, and they sound like a lot of fun. I'm going to give it a try. Guess I'll have to uninstall ambitions now (which seems unfair to use) and reinstall world adventures.

Welcome to the Forum ClayMask. You do not have to uninstall Ambitions, just don't use anything from it. And you do not have to reinstall WA unless you really want to.

Just agreeing with wildredchild here. I don't think you'd need to uninstall Ambitions. Just be sure not to use anything from it that would give you an unfair advantage.

If you want to be competitive in this event, then you absolutely do want to have WA installed. And all expansions have to be installed in the proper order, so yes, you would need to do a reinstall and go in order — base > WA > AMB.

I definitely learned a lot while playing through this. Maybe I'll replay it sometime to see how I could do the second time around. These are my scores:

I'm done. Not the best score, but my computer doesn't like having all those sims on one lot.

628 (funds) + 307 (traits) * 1.65 (NPC) = 1543

By the way, I tested it out, and expansions no longer have to be installed in order. Just figured I'd let people know in case the knowledge might come in handy.

Hey Metro,

Sorry I've not been around, this work thing has taken up most of my time.

Just to say can you withdraw me from this challenge please?

My Sims 3 Crashed after loading ambitions and I've had to take it off and (hopefully) put it back on again. Needless to say I've lost all my saves!

It was a fun challenge but I want to draw a line under it and hopefully get back in the groove for some of the other challenges once I’ve got ambitions working.

Took the time to finish this challenge after a bit of a break. My score is okayish, I think that I did well in campaign area but didn't allow enough time for traits and stuff.

$1,090,309 x 245 traits, And 18 npc traits learned so x 1.9 i think.

I really wouldn't recommend this in general. There's really no reason not to install them in order and it's most likely the best way, even if you were able to do them out of order. This is also off topic and any further discussion on this should be on the Technical Help board.
