Yeah but at this point I'm not sure how necessary it is as there's a topic here at the forum for that type of thing. I have been busy with my side project, which is taking longer than I thought but after so much time investment I need to finish it.

I'll put up those skill self-employment tables Monday or Tuesday.

That's what I was basically going to suggest lol.

:) I tweaked the agenda. Now that I will be putting those skill tables up, I really feel like the guide is in a fine state and doesn't really need anything. I really doubt there are any gee-wiz article ideas out there. Eventually I'll do a city guide for Bridgeport as I did for SSV, but I wouldn't think of doing that for Twinbrook or Riverview. Maybe some fan of those towns will come along and pass an article like that my way, but I'd be really surprised.

It's not shocking for the guide to be in a state where I feel happy with it at this point. It's been in development for over a year and a half now, and has received a lot of love and attention from myself AND the readers. At this point corrections and suggestions just trickle in. We do look forward to the EP and all the new content it will bring. When writing for Starcraft 2, I have the opportunity to experience the excitement of releasing articles on all the really popular sub-topics in the game. There just aren't any ideas that can gather that much attention for The Sims 3, as we have already written them! :)

So I'm pretty much done writing for The Sims until Medieval and the Expansion, but I'm really excited!

I kinda like Riverview, personally...and since I was kind of looking for something to do for the site, perhaps I'll look over the SSV city guide to see what you'd expect from a city guide and try to come up with something you'd appreciate.  I'm not really big on Twinbrook, however, so that one's still up in the air lol.

Yes you can, Seabody so long as you follow the format I already set with Sunset Valley and edit/proofread it before emailing it to me.  ;)

Thank you Carl!
EDIT: When I'm done, should I email it to the @carlsguides address?

Yes, attach all screenshots and note where they go :) Thank you, I've got a lot on my plate and that would have been delayed significantly.

I would really like to write an article but I do not have Late Night due to the fact that my parents think that there is too much adult content in it!  >:(

They might be right about that. We're not really accepting articles right now other than the pair that have been taken. We've written pretty much everything we need right now. I admire your ambition, though! I hated writing until I was in my 20s, then it started getting interesting to me. Even writing technical articles it feels like an artistic outlet.

Carl, do you mind if I ask someone to help me write the Bridgeport guide? I have exams looming and still would like to write it, but I don't know if I can do it alone.

A collaboration wouldn't bother me and it will probably improve the quality of the end product. When someone works with me on something, we usually do much better than I could alone. :)

I hope it turns out okay. :-\

I'll keep you guys in mind if I need a hand. These days I generally like to write almost everything in a new expansion, but I have put a lot on my plate. Writing the articles keeps me sharp on the game and how it's evolving much more than just playing it. I have an innate desire to learn how things work and guide-writing has satisfied that. Of course we know this is going to be a social/activities expansion so it'll definitely end up being different than what we've written before.

Carl, I'm an explorer type of person myself and would love to do any TS3 town guide, except Riverview (I don't have it, bandwith doesn't allow). I'm thinking of doing a Twinbrook/Barnacle Bay guide and if Seabody/Simstar need any help with the Bridgeport guide, I'll be glad to help. I'm currently working on finding out all the Beautiful Vista lots for those towns, will report when I'm finished. :)

Awesome idea on the beautiful vista lots. Email them to carl@carlsguides.com and I'm sure that I'll get them published within a day :)

It'd be a great help for the Beautiful Vista lots, Chronic! Thank you, because I believe Simstar and I are both busy with the Collecting parts and labelling the clubs.

If you want I could do a bit of a Twinbrook guide, maybe gem, bugs, seed, and fish locations.

I'm currently working on that too, and that is much appreciated! Especially the gem locations.

More on Twinbrook... Disappointing, but still - there is only one lot with the Beautiful Vista moodlet. The moodlet is an enormous boost of +50. It can be gained on the unoccupied house Aerie Supply, 568 Bayou Gulch Dr., $19,294. This information was gathered by forumer MarianT, and thanks very much to her for that! :)

I can confirm MarianT's findings - I tested that lot last night - huge bonus!

Carl, I have a question if you don't mind. When I finish the Twinbrook guide, should I copy/paste the Word file in the e-mail and attach the images? Also, do you need the descriptions of rabbit-holes for Twinbrook and other towns too? Thanks much.

Yes, I prefer to get the images in my inbox -- just be sure to show me in the body text where you want them placed.
