The Doll Family
« on: April 25, 2010, 04:04:35 PM »
This isn't a legacy, I just decided to post about my interesting family. :)

I have already played this family numerous times, so I'll give a quick summary.

BTW, I know they have the same names as those Barbie dolls. I did that for fun. :P

Kelly was under a curse. Her parents have just died when she was still a toddler. She was sent to the orphanage and soon got adopted by Barbie and Ken Doll (married) as a child. The couple had 2 more children, Tommy and Kristie, before Kelly aged into a YA. She moved into a house that I built earlier in the game. It was only 2 rooms. She had no money, and all she had was her laptop, her 3 books she loved, and her pet lobster she had since she was adopted.. (Also a few things that she needs-fridge, TV, etc.) She also got a mini cow plant as a welcome gift from her mom. I sold all the unnecessary things that I supplied her to give a good start. (To be more clear, when I built the house I put some stuff she can sell, knowing she will have no money. The parents gave her the money to buy the house, but thats it.) Still having her job at the spa from when she was a teen, she got Tuesdays and Thursdays off.  About a week later, she had 2 new twin brothers, Reddi and Teddi. She tried flirting with guys at th park, but they were all lame. (The good ones were married, the single good ones didn't accept her woos.) About 2 days later, a man named Haiden move into town. (Actually, I just made him up in CAS.) This was Kelly's opportunity. She started flirting, but soon discovered his traits (Hopeless Romantic, Great Kisser, Flirty, Family-Orinated, and Brave.) She got he first kiss with him the same day, and tried for a baby. Seeing how nice his house was, she asked if her can stay over. Soon after that, they married and had a party. Haiden met all his new brothers and sisters-in-law. (4) He also met his new mother and father-in-law. Soon after THAT, Kelly moved in with Haiden and sold her house and furniture (except for her books, and laptop. The cow plant and lobster, however, got accidentally sold. I forgot to pack them in her inventory.) I saw they had a nice sum of money (22,000) so the house got re-decorated. A crib was also added. They also went on a day-long fishing trip at that pond in front of the Langreak house for a wedding present. Grrr... forgot what the pond was called. A few days later, Maddi, a baby girl, was born. Congratulations Barbie, you are now a 39-year-old grandma. (Kelly was adopted when Ken and Barbie was 19, perhaps. Kelly is about 20.) Kelly tried for another baby, and is now pregnant, expecting twins.

Long summary! I'm also going to move them into a new house as soon as they can afford it. Sorry, there will be no pictures, but I will update as much as possible!

Sorry for not updating. Things are going crazy! The couple's tiny home was too small to fit 6 people, I kicked out a guy from the Alto's, moved the family in, and used the huge sum of money to by the Wolff's home. (I kicked them out.) Anyways, two of the triplets were accidentally left at the Alto house (A sim can only hold one child at a time. :() Anyways, after a long, painful move and day, the family settled and took care of the babies and the parents went to slumber. Well, then a baby broke out screaming for some reason, and then all the children were woken up and cried. Geez, can't us parents get a break? Anyways, after a bad night's sleep, the triplets had a birthday, and I had the triplets celebrate at the same time. Great idea, right? WRONG. The whole kitchen burst into flames. The husband caught his butt on fire and was screaming and wouldn't get in the show, and the firefighter wouldn't put him out. He had 16 seconds to live, so at this point I left the game without saving.

I'm not sure if I'm continuing this game. I might just switch back to playing with Kristie, Reddi, Teddi, Ken, Barbie, and Tommy.

Wow!  What a turn of bad luck.  I haven't had a Sim die of fire, so I don't really have any real advice.  Is there a swimming pool he could jump in?  Or will the other Sims put him out?

Being totally new to the Sims and having just signed up to this forum, I must say, awesome story to read. Nice pictures and so on. Very cool, thank you for sharing. I never even thought about giving my Sim some sort of background story, until now.  Hehehe.

Pam-No pool, I was freaking out and like I said, he wouldn't go to the shower and he just stood there screaming. The firefighter and Kelly wouldn't put him out.
