Yeah, it really was just luck.  If not for the Alto place, my score would have been a lot lower.  I tell you, seeing all the junk there is in that house makes me very grateful for the No Bills LTR!

My Chang Family is done too. Mine's not as impressive, though, I only managed to rack up 449,567. I moved 12 times. I hope I never have to do that in real life.

That's an excellent score, GrowerGirl!  I'm fairly certain that I won't come close to that, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.  :)

I think the hardest part of this challenge for will be deciding on a money making method!  There are SO many options... argh!  I think I'm just gonna have to pick one and go with it because even though I've done a few tests I'm not sure that any particular one stands out.

I'm finished and my score is higher than I expected, even counting my 5% penalty.  My total is $464,940.

Oh, I spaced out and thought you were talking about AriaGirl's avatar, Pam. Yes, something is definitely up with her sig. It's just a blue box for me.

Ok, I've decided -- sign me up!

I wasn't sure if I was going to participate at first.  I LOVE customizing the dwellings for my Sims (that's probably one of my favorite parts)... but I think I can abandon that for a little while.

I'm doing a practice run and got this opportunity:

I've never seen this opportunity, and I accepted it. The shower is in my family inventory currently.  Can I complete this without breaking the rules?  Technically, I think doing this opportunity would break the rules... but, on the other hand, it's also not going to be a permanent lot object and my Sim won't be doing anything with it other than upgrading the temporary extra shower.  Either way, I figured that I would ask, just in case there are similar opportunities that pop up for me or anyone else.

Zylphe, you're fine with doing that opportunity. You're not changing your lot or any objects on your lot by doing that. You're only changing someone else's object. That was a good question.

I want to give this one a go (I should have enough real time to complete it  :) ) but would like to clarify something:

Earlier on in the discussion using the display case for transfiguration was given the OK but the rules now say that taking anything out of your personal inventory and onto the lot is banned so does this prevent transfiguration?  Also is it OK to get gems cut and metals smelted given that they come out of inventory and into the postbox?

That's fine, Helen. The only things that can't come out of Inventory are reward items. So, using the display case is fine, and getting gems cut and metals smelted is okay too. You're not changing the lot at all by doing so.

I remember reading early about the police car and if you choice that line of work then the police car has to stay in your inventory. Is that correct? If so what if you have a parking spot when you bring it home and it automatically goes there the first time you bring it home? I don't know if this even changes the value or not but I had that happen in a different challenge.

You need to put the patrol car back in your inventory any time it shows up on the lot, especially when you are ready to move.  It cannot be on the lot to count toward the value of the lot.
