Well, now that my computer is fixed and I see that the challenge is still going I might have a chance to finish it. ;D

But something tells me that I might not but I'm hoping that I do. I know for a fact that the score won't change so it was fun.

I also played in Riverview, but my score was quite a bit higher than that.  It'll be an interesting discussion in the strategies thread for this one!

Agreed! I'm very interested in what everyone else did that scored so high. Hopefully I can use that as insight for some of the future challenges. I have a lot to learn...

Unlikely. The trick(s) that I'll share tomorrow have no real application to other types of challenges. There is the money-making aspect that is almost always an issue in challenges, but aside from that, the tricks I used and the new tricks I learned from PMs with other players after we finished were all specifically related to what you had to accomplish in this event.

I understand that these tricks won't be useful in the other challenges but I'm hoping what I learn from it will help me to learn how to strategize better and think in different ways. I am more interested in the process of developing the strategy than the specific ones that were used, and the reasons behind why people chose their strategies.

I have never really had to focus my thoughts on these kinds of problems before so I didn't manage to come up with much, and I also didn't practice ahead of time.

Wow. You really waited until the 11th hour there, Jonna. :) Nice score.

I waited even longer!  :D

It's 9:55 PM in New York right now. The forum clock seems to be two hours off. I hope I'm not disqualified by an incorrect clock.

I only have 5 days left in the game. I'll submit my score before midnight.

Chuckles.  I can see then that Sushi & I need to be more focused and, possibly, should 'play test' first.  I'm off to read the 'money making' hints before tackling another challenge.

Looking forward to reading how the high scores were achieved, though I believe that I have an idea on two of the things that I did wrong.

I'm still happy though that I had fun & got to live in houses that I would never live in otherwise.  Thanks for letting me join in with the Challenge  :)

(I'm not really a computer whiz - it's just that, rather nerdishly, I like using them.)

Heh heh. :) I trust that you know what time it is in your home town.  :D That's really all that matters. Forum time is irrelevant.

Ok this is totally last minute but I'm so glad I finished! My final score was $551,207 (not bad for my first challenge!) and it was harder than I thought but still fun. (Oh by the way where I am it is 10:20 PM; I really hope that counts!  :-[) Thanks for the challenge!

Yep. You made it! Barely. :) Glad you had a good time. That's what it's all about.

Well, I'll announce the winner tomorrow and update the World Ranking.

Finally finished with less than an hour to spare. Scott and Wanda Mayflower lived in 17 different houses with a total value of §1,675,202.

I wonder how in the world you managed to get 17 different houses when I barely squirmed and cried my way into only 5. But all will be revealed when the challenge is closed and we can finally discuss strategy. Ah, I bow down to the masters.  :o

Ha ha ha. Well done TheCub. You snatched the victory at the very last minute. Pretty cool. I'll be PMing you sometime today for the Hall of Fame information.

So, that's a wrap everyone. My thanks as always to all participants. A special thanks goes out to Pam who put this little nugget of an idea into my head — very creative!
