Welcome to my Sims 3 Lifetime Wish Guide. This guide features a lot of powerful information that can help you to craft your perfect Sim. You'll find information on what traits inspire each lifetime wish. You can also read about my research into how lifetime wishes are chosen based on traits, to learn how the system works. Note that with the patch that came with Late Night, Simmers can now choose a Lifetime Wish from the list without relying on traits, giving even deeper customization options for their Sims.

This guide has been updated over time to support all Expansion Packs. It supports World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, and has now been updated to support the Sims 3's Final Expansion Pack, The Sims 3: Into the Future. Look for the logos for expansion-specific wishes. The point values for some of these may have changed or require more from your Sim if you have the expansion installed. Keep in mind the ambitious trait will increase the value you see.

What are Lifetime Wishes? A Lifetime Wish (LTW) is a wish that a Sim hopes to complete before death. They are generally related to what traits you pick for your Sim. Therefore, Evil Sims may want to someday become Emperor of Evil or a Gold Digger. If they achieve their goal, of which the objectives vary wish by wish, they will receive a large reward of Lifetime Happiness Points. These points are also gained by completing normal wishes, and can be spent to buy upgrades for your Sim (such as steel bladder, teleporting and the moodlet manager).

Lifetime Wishes have been around since the Sims 2, in the form of Lifetime Wants.

What Happens When Sims Complete a Lifetime Wish?
When a Lifetime Wish has been completed, they have fulfilled their greatest desire and will no longer have a Lifetime Wish. You also cannot change the wish with the Change Lifetime Wish Reward (10,000 lifetime happiness points).

Change Lifetime Wish
Find the 10,000 point lifetime reward, Change Lifetime Wish. Changing the wish knocks off 10,000 points from the "profit" of fulfilling the wish, because of this expense. However, if you want to grab a lifetime reward quickly, and have met or nearly met the necessary requirements of the wish you want to change to, go for it. Note that the Lifetime Wish you can change to is still determined by your Sim's traits.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalAlchemy Artisan: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Gatherer, Supernatural Fan
Goal: Reach Level 10 in Alchemy Skill and use 50 Elixirs
Tips: Take the Supernatural Alchemy Skill, and begin researching new potion recipes. The Gatherer trait helps with this, as you'll find more ingredients for your Elixirs. Check the alchemy consignment store for the occasional ingredient, and consider taking up Gardening so that you can grow the herbs used in many recipes.

Become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder: 29,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Green Thumb, Insane, Angler, Handy
Goal: Level 9 in the Science career track
Tips:The Science career track requires fishing, gardening and handiness to advance. Keep this in mind when you're choosing your Sim's traits. The skill that can be the lowest of these three and still get by is fishing. My Sim had level 5 or 6 fishing when he became a mad scientist, which is a step above cross breeder.

Become a Master Thief: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Athletic, Kleptomaniac
Goal: Ascend to level 10 in the criminal career track (thief path)
Tips:Take the kleptomaniac trait for extra fun. This Sim will need a high athletic skill to succeed. They don't need other skills, however, and can get by with high athletics and relationships with co-workers.

Become an Astronaut: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Handy, Athletic, Brave, Daredevil
Goal: Get promoted to 10th level in the military career track
Tips:Athletics and Handiness are the promotion requirements for the military career track. Being an astronaut is quite unique. They only need to work one day a week, but it's a very long shift. It leaves loads of free time for your Sim to do other things.

Become a Superstar Athlete: 29,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Athletic, Party Animal
Goal: Get to the 9th level of the Sports career track.
Tips:The only skill requirement here is athletics. Once your Sim has reached the max level in the sports career track, they can hold autograph signings to make money.

Requires The Sims 3 University LifeBlog Artist: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire this Lifetime Wish:
Goal: Reach level 10 in Social Networking, make a 5-star Blog
Tips: Simply keep blogging to gain followers. Read the guide to Social Networking for some tips on being a Blogger. If you want to complete this fast, don't switch blog types and run your personal blog up to 5-star rating before you switch types, as that will cost you followers.

Bottomless Nectar Cellar: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Green Thumb, Natural Cook, Snob
Goal: Have at least 50 bottles in your nectar cellar totaling $50,000 Simoleons in value.
Tips: If you don't want to buy them yourself, you'll need to take up gardening to really excel at this one. Use the time while your nectar makers are working to tend the garden for time efficiency. Learn a good recipe and keep using it until you've got your 50 bottles. Store them in racks and let them age. You can continue to add bottles to your collection to reach the $10,000 goal faster.

Celebrated Five-Star Chef: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Green Thumb, Natural Cook, Vegetarian
Goal: Make it to level 10 in the culinary career track.
Tips: Natural Cook will help a lot. This is a quite easy lifetime wish. Build relationships with boss and co-workers early for an easier go. If you wonder where your master chef's fridge is, once you've made it to level 10, look in the family inventory under buy mode.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalCelebrity Psychic: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Supernatural Skeptic
Goal: Make it to level 10 in the Fortune Teller career, Scam artist path
Tips: Celebrity Psychic is the last level of the Fortune Teller career, join it at the gypsy wagon, which may need to be placed in edit town if you're not playing in Moonlight Falls. You choose the Scam Artist track upon reaching level 6. Then, you'll need both the Charisma and Logic skills to advance quickly. Start working on these early and the metrics will be green by the time you get that promotion.

CEO of a Mega-Corporation: 27,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish:Charismatic, Loser, Schmoozer, Snob, Ambitious
Goal: Make it to 8th (not max) level in the Business career track.
Tips:Notice this isn't the highest level in the business career track. That's why your Sim will get a little less lifetime happiness points for completing the wish. There aren't actually any skills involved with getting promoted in business, so focus on building up some charisma to woo your Sim's boss and co-workers.

Chess Legend: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Computer Whiz, Genius, Couch Potato
Goal: Max Logic and reach the 5th level in pro chess (Grand Master)
Tips: This isn't very hard. Take the lucky, genius and computer whiz traits. Practice chess on the computer (2nd most expensive computer) to improve logic quickly. Get it to level five or six before your Sim tries their first ranked chess match. Read my Chess Grand Master Guide

Requires The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion PackDeep Sea Diver: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Loves to Swim
Goal: Master the Diving Skill and Earn 40,000 Simoleons in Diving Collectibles
Tips: Snorkeling will automatically pick up seashells for you, which will count toward this total. While scuba diving, fish that you find underwater will not count, though the new underwater sea life will. Sell items through your inventory to earn toward this goal. Taking the Loves to Swim Trait will raise the Scuba Diving skill faster. Learn more about Scuba Diving in our Guide.

Descendant of Da Vinci: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Savvy Sculptor
Goal: Max Painting, Sculpting, and Inventing Skills
Tips: This is the highest value Lifetime Wish to come with The Sims 3 Ambitions, and it certainly will be one of the longer ones. Consider the Artistic trait to help speed things up, along with Eccentric. It will be better to spend your first efforts on the one you think you can make the most money with, for your Sims to live a better life while pursuing it.

Requires The Sims 3 Late NightDistinguished Director: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Star Quality
Goal: Reach level 10 in the film career track (director branch)
Tips: Distinguished Directors will need the Writing skill, as well as Celebrity star levels to advance. So, work on writing early on, and mingle with Celebs in town to help your career advance.

Emperor of Evil: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Mean Spirited, Ambitious, Evil
Goal: Get to the 10th level in the criminal career track (evil path)
Tips:While thieves can get by on athletic alone, to be Emperor of Evil, Sims will need the logic skill. When you achieve this task, your Sim will glow red sometimes, which can hurt relations with other Sims who aren't evil.

Fashion Phenomenon: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Snob, Charismatic
Goal: Make it to level 10 in the Stylist Profession
Tips: This LTW can be a little hard to inspire. I only had luck with charismatic and snob. If you have other traits that inspire other wishes, you may have trouble getting it to roll. At any rate, the best pick for a Stylist Sim, of course.

Firefighter Super Hero: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Brave
Goal: Save 30 Lives on the Job as a Firefighter
Tips: The Firefighter Super Hero Lifetime Wish can go very quickly or very slowly. It all depends on which jobs your Sim gets each day. If they get plenty to save other Sims from fires, it could be within a week. It's a toss up, but the wish is your top pick if your Sim is going to brave fires anyway.

Forensics Specialist - Dynamic DNA Profiler: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Computer Whiz, Good
Goal: Reach level 10 in the law career track (forensics path)
Tips:Your Sim will need to be smart (high logic), but later will also need the painting skill for blood spatter analysis. At level 10, your forensic analyst can 'perform analysis on computer' which will net them some nice money. It can be repeated as often as you'd like.

Gold Digger: 20,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Insane, Commitment Issues, Mean Spirited, Mooch, Snob, Evil
Goal: See the ghost of a rich dead spouse
Tips:The Gold Digger lifetime wish can be one of the more challenging goals in the Sims 3. To find a rich Sim to target, look to the mansions in town, visit and look for inhabitants that can be wooed. If they're married, you can get them to leave their husband or wife. Get hitched to your poor victim, then do one of two things: either eat plenty of life fruit (ambrosia's better!) and outlive the target Sim, or get nasty and wall them off with the build mode and let them starve.

Golden Tongue/Golden Fingers: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Virtuoso, Charismatic, Great Kisser, Good Sense of Humor
Goal: Max both Charisma and Guitar
Tips:This is an easy wish. Why? Guitar and Charisma work very well together. Get your Sim's guitar skill up (take virtuoso!). Playing guitar for tips in public places lets your Sim make masses of friends, a little at a time. This is good to satisfy the requirements of each of the charisma levels. Then, study the charisma skill in the library whenever you can get another level. Make charisma the priority, with guitar coming in second.

Requires The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion PackGrand Explorer: 65,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Sailor
Goal: Discover All Uncharted Islands
Tips: You'll need Scuba Diving to do this easily, due to one Island requiring you to collect 4 messages in bottles with Map Fragments inside and another that comes in one very lucky find. It's a hard LTW because it incorporates several other Island Paradise gameplay elements: Lifeguard, Resort Management, and Mermaids. You can view a list of all Islands and unlock requirements here.

Great Explorer: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Adventurous, Brave, Daredevil
Goal: Fully Explore 6 tombs in each travel destination
Tips: This one will require quite a bit of travel time, because China, Egypt, and France will likely need to be visited multiple times. The first dungeon in each location is easy and accessible from the adventure board. You may at first want to decline adventures and run around willy nilly exploring tombs, but remember getting the VISA levels from completing them will help ensure your next trip is the last one you need to wrap up that destination.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalGreener Gardens: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Be a Fairy
Goal: Reach level 10 in Gardening, and use Bloom 100 times
Tips: This is an easy LTW to accomplish, you just need to Garden and use the Fairy Bloom ability over and over. You can replenish fairy magic faster using a fairy home or the train set. Your gardening will rise naturally as you harvest the plants you've Bloomed. Bloom can fail, and seems to kill plants, but another Bloom can bring them back.

Heartbreaker: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Commitment Issues, Great Kisser, Flirty, Party Animal
Goal: Sim must have 10 boyfriends or girlfriends.
Tips:This can be a very fun lifetime wish to pursue. Have your Sim take all kinds of traits like flirty, great kisser and hopeless romantic, which boost love relationships. It can be funny when your lovers run into each other. I wouldn't recommend inviting them all to the same party! Wait, maybe I would. But only after you've completed the LTW.

Requires The Sims 3 Into the Future Expansion PackHigh Tech Collector: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: none
Goal: Reach level 10 in Advanced Technology and Own a Windcarver, Dream Pod, Food Synthesizer, Holo Disc, and Jetpack
Tips: Read the Guide to Advanced Technology to learn more about raising the skill. It is gained faster while in Oasis Landing, where you will also find all of those objects. Free Holo Discs, Windcarvers, and Jetpacks can be found at the Community Living Center. You'll have to buy the Dream Pod and Food Synthesizer yourself. Really, this Lifetime Wish boils down to the AT Skill and getting those two objects on a lot you own. Any Sim in the Household can be using the Windcarver, Holo Disc, and Jetpack, so long as you have the Dream Pod and Food Synthesizer on a lot that you own, whether in the Future or Present.

Hit Movie Composer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Genius, Virtuoso, Hopeless Romantic
Goal: Get to level 10 in the music career track (symphonic path)
Tips:The Symphonic Music Career track requires heaps of logic and guitar skill. Genius and Virtuoso go great together here. Once your Sim has made it to the tenth level, they can hold autograph sessions just like pro athletes.

Home Design Hotshot: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Artistic
Goal: Achieve 100 top reviews as an Architectual Designer
Tips: Look to your client's traits to understand their wishes. For example, a computer whiz might want more technology around, while someone who can't stand art might prefer prettier furnishings to make up for less art. If you're a sculptor, photographer, or painter, you can also work in your creations and get bonus points.

Illustrious Author: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Bookworm, Loner
Goal: Master both painting and writing skills
Tips: This is an easy one. Artistic and Bookworm will pay off here. Your Sim will make a lot of good money staying at home. Consider taking the loner trait to combat loneliness. Couch potato helps writers too, who must sit on their butts all day.

International Super Spy: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Computer Whiz, Brave, Athletic, Childish
Goal: Get promoted to level 10 in the Law career track (special agent path)
Tips: I'm gonna grow up to be like James Bond! I can imagine how childish fits in as a trait here. There's nothing childish about this job though, which will take level 10 in athletic and logic skills. Yep, it's basically just like Perfect Mind, Perfect Body with some career advancements. At level 5, you'll be able to have your Sim write reports on other Sims, interrogating them to learn all of their traits. Finding out someone in the criminal career track can lead to a promotion. At level 10 in this career, you can also raid the criminal warehouse for some money.

Jack of All Trades: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Insane, Commitment Issues, Workaholic, Childish
Goal: Get to level 5 in four different career tracks.
Tips: Choose some careers that complement each other to maximize the effects of your traits. For example, athletic Sims could be ok in law enforcement, criminal, military and sports careers. You can quit the job once you've reached the fifth level. It may be possible to accept the job offers when you're already employed. Switching jobs once you're past level 5 may work, but it needs to be tested.

Leader of the Free World: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Friendly, Schmoozer, Ambitious
Goal: Get elected level 10 in the political career track.
Tips: Snag the Schmoozer, Charismatic and Friendly traits to help your politician Sim along. Getting a guitar can also help make friends. Later in the career, your Sim will need to throw campaign fundraisers. Make sure they're good parties and at the end of the night Sims will throw you cash on their way out. Try to invite the richest Sims to your party.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalLeader of the Pack: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Being a Werewolf
Goal: Turn 5 Sims into Werewolves, and Collect 40,000 Simoleons while Hunting with a Pack
Tips: Your Sim needs to bite others to turn them, and while this can fail, the Alpha Dog Lifetime Reward can make your bite irresistible. Packs are formed much like groups, so find friendly werewolves and invite them to your pack. You can then click the ground to hunt in a pack. The game records the value of all objects found and adds them to your total.

Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Star Quality
Goal: Raise 100,000 Simoleons and Gain Celebrity Rank 5
Tips: This wish comes only with the Sims 3 Late Night expansion. It's similar to Living in the Lap of Luxury, but the additon of fame adds a new element and boosts the happiness point reward. This is a great choice for musicians. Choose the charismatic and friendly traits to help your Sim befriend celebrities and gain celebrity stars.

Living in the Lap of Luxury: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Mooch, Snob, Ambitious, Kleptomaniac
Goal: Family net worth of $100,000 simoleons.
Tips: For those who wonder, net worth is a combination of property value (including household items) and cash on hand. So, when your Sim buys something, it does go into the household value, however, since items devalue over time, you will want your Sim to have more cash than property.

Requires The Sims 3 Into the Future Expansion PackMade the Most of My Time: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: none
Goal: Experience both Alternate Timelines (Dystopia and Utopia) while also being honored with a Legacy Statue.
Tips: This one is quite easy, as you only need to do a couple of Opportunity chains with the Time Traveler after gaining level 1 in Advanced Technology on your first visit to the Future to experience the Dystopian and Utopian Timelines. This LTW lines up perfectly with the Time Keeper Legacy Statue, as the only extra requirement is to reset the Time Continuum back to Normal Oasis Landing and befriend Emit Relevart, the Time Traveler.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalMagic Makeover: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Sim must be a Fairy
Goal: Cast Inner Beauty on 12 Sims, reach Level 10 Charisma
Tips: Reaching level 10 Charisma is the hard part here. You may want the Charismatic trait to help gain levels, but the biggest thing will be the number of Friends you need. Go out, meet Sims, and even bless them to help your relationship improve. Save Inner Beauty for Sims you won't be befriending.

Requires The Sims 3 University LifeMajor Master: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire this Lifetime Wish: Avant Garde
Goal: Earn Three Degrees
Tips: You'll need to return to University a number of times in order to do this. Be sure to study for aptitude tests to earn some free credits, which will shorten the time that you need to attend for each degree. You can come out with a number of credits toward several and build on your highest scores by retaking the Aptitude Test. See the guide to Aptitude Tests for more information.

Martial Arts Master: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Athletic, Brave, Daredevil, Disciplined
Goal: Reach level 10 in Martial Arts and become a Grand Master
Tips: Get plenty of practice sparring. Not only does it help to raise the skill faster, it'll give your Sim vital practice that will help them to win matches. Stay on top of athletics as well. It does go up as your Sim practices, but rises more slowly than Martial Arts itself. A focused session here and there can help ensure it stays on par with the Martial Arts skill level.

Master Acrobat: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Natural Born Performer
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Acrobat Profession. To get tips on maxing your level as an Acrobat, read our Guide to Acrobats.

Master of the Arts: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Virtuoso
Goal: Max both the Painting and Guitar skills.
Tips:The Artistic trait is a must here. It will help with both requirements. Take virtuoso if you think your Sim would like to earn money playing guitar.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalMaster of Mysticism: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Supernatural Fan
Goal: Reach Level 10 in Fortune Teller Career, Mystic Path
Tips: You choose a path upon earning level 6 in the Fortune Teller career, which can be joined at the gypsy wagon in town. You may need to place this new career building in edit town to access this. The Mystic path requires the Alchemy skill, so start it early lest you fall behind in career metrics later.

Master Magician: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Natural Born Performer
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Magician Profession. To get tips on maxing your level as a Magician, read our Guide to Magicians.

Requires The Sims 3 Late NightMaster Mixologist: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish:
Goal: Reach level 10 in Mixology and own a bar
Tips: Use your Sim's cell phone to check real estate to purchase the bar. The cheapest is Eugi's, for about $48,000. Of course the investment will pay off over time, but you'll need to come up with the money first. It's difficult to make money at mixology so you may want another skill, or even a career such as Film, to help you raise the funds.

Requires The Sims 3 Late NightMaster Romancer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Great Kisser
Goal: Woohoo with 5 different Sims in 5 different places you can Woohoo (bed, time machine, dream pod etc.)
Tips: The 15,000 point Master of Seduction Lifetime Reward can be extremely helpful here. Otherwise, make a Sim who's a great kisser, and give them some socializing abilities like charismatic or friendly to help them build the relationships necessary for all these one night stands. Taking Commitment Issues as a trait may prevent your Sim getting too involved with another in the course of getting to Woohoo with them and reduce the effect of any breakups. To clarify the instructions, you'd Woohoo with 1 Sim in the Treehouse, another in the Bed, etc. and not specifically different locations around the world. Traveling to other locations like University, going to China, France or Egypt, or Time Traveling in Into the Future may reset your counter and force you to start over.

Monster Maker: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Genius
Goal: Create 3 Monsters
Tips: This is primarily for the Inventor Profession/skill. At level 10, your Sim will get a multi-step opportunity to make the ultimate invention, a SimBot. Making 3 will complete this wish. It also works with making mummies in World Adventures, but will likely see a lot less use for that task.

Requires The Sims 3 Into the Future Expansion PackMore than a Machine: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Bot Fan
Goal: Reach level 10 in Bot Building and give a Plumbot the Sentience Trait Chip.
Tips:The hardest part of this Lifetime Wish is getting the Sentience Trait Chip, which you can make so long as you collect Nanites and Reverse-Engineer the good ones. You'll need an Uber Nanite to make the chip. You can read all our associated Guides to Plumbots to get plenty of tips to completing this LTW, along with the linked walkthrough.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalMystic Healer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Being a Witch
Goal: Cure 12 Transformed Sims
Tips: There are two ways to cure Transformed Sims. Use the Sunlight Charm, which is a Witch spell. You can also do so using Cure Elixirs, which come from Alchemy. Either way, you can be the one performing the nasty transformations (tragic clown, toadifiation, inner beauty, zombies) then turn them right back!

One Sim Band: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Virtuoso, Artistic
Goal: Max the Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Piano Skills
Tips: Take the virtuoso and artistic traits to speed up this process. The fast learner lifetime reward can also help. This wish is a little silly as far as mechanics go. Mastering all four isn't as good as specializing in one and raising the number of performances the Sim has done.

Paranormal Profiteer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Eccentric
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Ghost Hunter Profession
Tips: This is a rather easy Lifetime Wish brought with Ambitions. If your Sim is going to be a ghost hunter, take Eccentric so you can get the option for this wish as it's a no brainer. You'll rise more quickly in the ranks if your Sim doesn't know the logic skill yet and can raise it in off hours.

Perfect Mind, Perfect Body: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Genius, Athletic, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Get to the 10th level in both Logic and Athletic Skills
Tips:A very easy goal to meet. Not as easy while your Sim is working. Consider joining the law enforcement career track so that they can put the skills to use.

Perfect Student: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Socially Awkward
Goal: Earn a Degree with a Perfect GPA
Tips: Don't miss class and keep your Sim's performance bar maxed to complete this Lifetime Wish easily. It's even easier if you take traits to complement your degree and the skills associated with it. To get more information on the majors available in The Sims 3 University Life, see Majors and Getting a Degree

Pervasive Private Eye: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Perceptive
Goal: Solve 35 Cases as a Private Investigator
Tips: This is a natural fit with the Perceptive trait, and is your go-to wish if your Sim is going to be a Private Investigator, as they will make more money for each completed job. You can accumulate a lot of wealth and happiness at once.

Physical Perfection: 27,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Athletic, Brave, Disciplined
Goal: Max both Athletics and Martial Arts skill levels
Tips: This one is probably the easiest new addition, especially since Athletics will rise while your Sim is working on martial arts. One trip to Shang Simla, China is all you'll need to accomplish it. Purchase equipment from the general store vendor to take a block breaker and training dummy home with you. Your Sim could even train a sparring partner back home once they reach a high enough level in Martial Arts.

Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Angler, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Have 13 Perfect fish in fish bowls around the house
Tips: A lot of questions come up with how to make a perfect aquarium. First, there are no real aquariums in the Sims 3, there are fish bowls. The aquarium is the combination of all those bowls. Find the bowls under the hobbies tab in the study (build mode).

To accomplish this wish, work on raising the Fishing Skill. Once you've caught some of the good ones you're looking for, drag theperfect quality fish from your Sim's inventory to the fish bowl. To see individual fish in stacks, click the arrow in the top left corner of the icon. Keep in mind these fish must be live in order for the goal to be completed, so feed the poor creatures. Also, they must be different fish, you can't have 13 perfect death fish and expect to complete it. Assemble a variety in your collection.

Possession is Nine Tenths of the Law: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Kleptomaniac
Goal: Possess 50,000 Simoleons worth of stolen goods.
Tips: Your Sim will need to be a kleptomaniac, and perhaps in the criminal career track to approach this wish with all you've got. Klepto high value items from wealthy neighbors, such as televisions and nice cars, to make it go faster.

Private Museum: 32,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Adventurous, Snob
Goal: Have a current relic collection worth at least $20,000 Simoleons.
Tips: Note the current. Your Sim will actually have to start a collection. You may not want to keep everything they find. Relics worth only $50 or so should just be sold. Save those that value over $500 or more where space is a concern. You may also be interested in checking the relic vendor in town. Objects there can be analyzed and proven worth far more than their 'retail value'.

Professional Author: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Bookworm, Couch Potato, Loner
Goal: Make $4,000 simoleons a week in royalties from the writing skill.
Tips: $4,000 a week in royalties is not hard to come by. Be sure your Sim is a bookworm to help increase the speed at which they can write. Perfectionist may help, as well. Your Sim really needs to stay on top of this wish, because as books slip off the list after 6 weeks your income will fall. Your Sim needs to keep building momentum over time to eventually reach this goal. Read my Writing Guide.

Requires The Sims 3 University LifeReach Max Influence with all Social Groups: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire this Lifetime Wish: Irresistible
Goal: Reach Max Influence with all Social Groups
Tips: Doing this is easy, it just takes time. When your Sim performs various actions, they will contribute influence points toward standing with one of the three social groups in University Life. See the Jock, Rebel, and Nerd sections in the University Life Guide.

Renaissance Sim: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Commitment Issues, Workaholic
Goal: Get 3 skills to level 10
Tips:This is a good one. Every Sim can use three skills. How about Cooking, Handiness and Painting? It's all up to you. Try to pick traits that will compliment at least one or two of the skills you pick. This will help to speed things along. After all, while your Sim is working toward completing the wish, they must also earn a living.

Requires The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion PackResort Empire: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: none
Goal: Own a Five-Star Resort and collect 40k Simoleons total in profit from Resort Management
Tips: Hobart's Hideaway can be taken over for free and raise to Five Stars fairly easily with some time. Don't expect a Resort to jump to five stars overnight but improve gradually over the course of a few days' time. Read my Guide to Resorts to learn more about star rating, hiring staff, and the objects you'll need to buy in order to make your Resort successful.

Rock Star: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Virtuoso, Party Animal
Goal: Get promoted to level 10 in the music career track (rock path)
Tips:Although your Sim will be a rock star, they don't need to party like one to make it to the top. Band mates and guitar skill are all that really matters here. Toward the seventh level ,your Sim will need to perform to increase their rank. At the pinnacle of this career, your Sim will no longer hold regular hours at work, but be able to decide to hold concerts in the afternoon. Also, Rock Stars can hold autograph sessions (any time of day) for quick money.

Requires The Sims 3 University LifeScientific Specialist: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire this Lifetime Wish: Socially Awkward
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Science skill and level 10 in the Science, Medical, or Business Career Tracks
Tips: Get a degree in Science and you'll start higher in the Science or Medical career tracks. During the course of your degree, your Sims should max the Science skill. Overall, an easy Lifetime Wish to achieve - especially if you take the Socially Awkward, Genius, Ambitious, and Workaholic traits to help boost your progress. Socially Awkward gives a 15% boost to gains in the Science Skill, while Genius will raise skill gains you need in Logic to be a Scientist.

Requires The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion PackSeaside Savior: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: none
Goal: Rescue 50 Sims as a Lifeguard
Tips: Unfortunately, CPR victims do not count toward the total here, but only drowning victims so it will take a little longer. This LTW is very random. Some will get it done quickly, with multiple Sims drowning during each shift as a Lifeguard and others not seeing any potential rescues for days. Read the Lifeguard guide for more information.

Seasoned Traveler: 60,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Adventurous, Perfectionist
Goal: VISA level 3 in all destinations.
Tips: With World Adventures, this is the highest value wish to pursue. Why? It's the one that will by far take the longest. Your Sim will require multiple trips to each destination to accomplish this. Stick to adventures and try to find those that don't require so much tomb exploration to help things go faster. Be prepared beforehand with plenty of dried foods and a tent so you can handle tombs better when you really need to enter one.

Star News Anchor: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Bookworm, Charismatic, Friendly
Goal: Reach the 10th level in the Journalism Career Track
Tips: Star News Anchors require both Charisma and Writing skill to excel. Keep this in mind when choosing your Sim's traits.

Requires The Sims 3 University LifeStreet Credible: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire this Lifetime Wish: Avant Garde
Goal: Reach level 10 of Street Art Skill, Make 7 Masterpiece Murals
Tips: Both Wall and Ground murals count toward this Lifetime Wish. Make smaller murals to help you complete the Master Muralist skill challenge, which boosts the chance of making a Masterpiece. If you then stick with smaller Murals, you'll finish it faster as each painting has a chance to be a Masterpiece, and size doesn't matter.

Super Popular: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Friendly, Mooch, Party Animal, Schmoozer
Goal: 20 friends
Tips: This is very easy to complete with the charisma and guitar skills. Otherwise, hold plenty of parties, maintain friendships and keep moving toward gaining more friends.

Requires The Sims 3 Late NightSuperstar Actor: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Star Quality
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Film Career Track (Acting Branch)
Tips: Take the Charismatic trait to help your Sim socialize with other Sims. The upper levels of the Film Career rely heavily on your Sim's celebrity level, and acting requires a high charisma level anyway.

Surrounded by Family: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Friendly, Family Oriented
Goal: Raise 5 babies from infant to teen
Tips:This is one of the most painful lifetime wishes for me. I don't like raising children in the Sims 3 very much. Adopted babies do count toward this total, so feel free to use this route if you are so inclined. Keep in mind that while a single parent could accomplish this, it'll be much easier to pull off with a spouse.

Swimming in Cash: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Mooch, Snob, Ambitious, Frugal
Goal: Have $50,000 simoleons on hand.
Tips:Biggest tip for this: Save money. If you elect to be an artist, save up paintings. Keep in mind that buying a nice refrigerator and other ameneties can help your Sim to get job promotions by boosting their mood. This can pay off more in the long term than holding onto every Simoleon.

The Animal Rescuer: 20,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Animal Lover
Goal: Adopt 6 strays. You can wait for strays to return to your lot after befriending them, or adopt six animals from the shelter. They count as strays.

The Ark Builder: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Animal Lover
Goal: Have 2 each of cats, dogs, horses, birds, lizards, turtles, rodents, snakes, butterfilies, and beetles. The collection helper can aid you a lot, as will getting a cat to help you catch the smaller creatures. Animal Lover is the trait of choice since the others are focused on one kind of animal.

The Canine Companion: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Dog Person
Goal:Befriend 15 dogs. See the notes on The Cat Herder.

The Cat Herder: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Cat Person
Goal: Become friends with 15 cats. You can befriend cats and put them up for adoption to make this happen faster. So, you'll have cats going in and out since you cannot own 15 cats at once. Befriending neighborhood cats works too, but they are harder to find.

The Culinary Librarian: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Natural Cook, Vegetarian
Goal: Sim must learn all cooking recipes (or 28 total with expansions installed)
Tips: This is one of the easiest lifetime wishes in the Sims 3. Get to level 10 in the cooking skill, and go to the book store to buy all the recipe books. With Natural Cook, your Sim can even learn the recipes from cookin' cable.

The Fairy Tale Finder: 20,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Equestrian
Goal: Adopt a Unicorn. To learn how to adopt a unicorn, see our guide.

The Jockey: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Equestrian
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Riding Skill, Earn 40,000 using horses. You can increase your winnings with horses by training and selling them, as well as winnings in races.

The Zoologist: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Animal Rescuer
Goal: Collect 20 minor animals. You do not have to keep the animals you collect, but can sell them to help you earn money while you work on the LTW.

The Perfect Garden: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Green Thumb, Natural Cook, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Grow eight different kinds of perfect plants on you lot at once.
Tips:The hardest part about this lifetime wish is getting all eight different plant species grown at once. I suggest having small crops of eight different plant species on your lot, which you can evolve over time. Read my Sims 3 Gardening Guide

The Tinkerer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Computer Whiz, Genius, Handy
Goal: Max both the Logic and Handiness skills.
Tips:Taking both the handy and genius traits on this Sim will help a lot. Consider taking computer whiz as well to help things on the logic side. I'm not aware of any careers that have logic and handiness as promotion factors, but you should consider taking a career like science or medical that at least draws on one of them to make thngs easier.

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalTurn the Town: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Be a Vampire
Goal: Drink from 20 Sims and turn 5 into Vampires
Tips: This is a little easier than the Werewolf version of this LTW. Vampires don't need to gain levels as Werewolves do. So, simply drink from Sims as you normally would and turn 5 to complete this wish.

Visionary: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Artistic, Loves the Outdoors, Photographer's Eye
Goal: Level 10 in Painting and Photography
Tips: An easy wish to pursue. Take Artistic and Photographer's Eye as your Sim's traits to complete it even faster. Using a better camera (purchased from Egypt) will increase the rate your Sim learns photography as well.

Vocal Legend: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Natural Born Performer, Diva
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Singing Profession brought to the game with the Showtime Expansion. To learn how to become a great singer and master this career, read our Guide to Singers.

World Class Gallery: 32, 500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish
: Artistic, Photographer's Eye
Goal: At least 10 Photos each from China, Egypt, and France, with a collection worth at least 25,000 hanging in your home.
Tips: Save those high-dollar first-time photos. You'll have better success if your Sim practices on Sims and buildings at home before heading to the travel spots. Higher photography, and using a better camera lead to better first shots. Take some smaller shots to help you with making sure you have room on your walls for 10 from each location. They don't have be high value, just unique. Whip out panorama for the really valuable shots.

World-Reknowned Surgeon: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Bookworm, Friendly, Good, Workaholic
Goal:Get promoted to level 10 in the medical career track.
Tips: In the medical career track, Sims need high logic skill. They'll need to do research on their own time to help get promotions later. Otherwise, this is a quite easy career track/lifetime wish combination. Click here for the Pre-Ambitions version of the surgeon wish

Requires The Sims 3 SupernaturalZombie Master: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Being a Witch
Goal: Turn 10 Sims into Zombies using the Reanimation Ritual or Potent Zombification Elixir
Tips: You'll either need a Witch, or high level Alchemist in order to complete this LTW. Witches have it easier, as their spell doesn't require any ingredients. Cast Reanimation Ritual on tombstones in town to do this. If you run out, you'll need to use the Elixirs which can occasionally be purchased at the Alchemy Consignment store. Otherwise, you'll need both Rhinocerous Beetle and Glow Orbs to make the potions, along with the more common Mandrake Root.

I have reached level 10 of the culinary path but my 5 star lifetime wish isn't achieved, and now I can't get the lifetime wish change in my rewards, what do I do?
Admin:
Are you absolutely certain you didn't receive the Lifetime Happiness Points? There is a UI glitch where the LTW picture will disappear after it's completed.

As an afterthought, she got to the final level through promotions right?

I luv your website!!
But how can u get a death flower
In island paradise??
And I've looked 4 a unicorn
Loads but I've still haven't found one!
Plz help me!!
Admin:
There are two fishing spots that unicorns spawn.  One on each of the bigger islands. It's not a guarantee that he will spawn just a percentage. I would just keep checking back to find them.

As for death flower, you'll have to collect special seeds and grow them until you find one.

Great guides. One point of order: I've noticed many references to which Lifetime Wishes are available depending on which traits you choose.

Now I only play the base game with no expansions, so maybe the expansions patch this out, but... at least for me, I can choose any Lifetime Wish I want. It brings up five suggestions based on the traits, but over to the right there's a clickable button that brings up the entire list and I can choose whichever wish I please.

I'm *pretty* sure this isn't the result of any mod I've installed but maybe I'm wrong about that...
Admin:
There was a patch near Generations or Pets that started allowing players able to choose the LTW instead of just going with the 5 that were made available.  It was a very nice change.

Don't understand the lifetime wish master romancer. The details are not specific. Only says 5 woohoo with 5 sims in different places. Does that mean in places like out of country? In a tent, shower, igloo, treehouse, hottub, bed? OR at the library, gym, home, etc. OR does it mean 5 sims in 5 of the places mentioned above each sims? Need specific.. not sure how to complete lifetime wish.

I've tried to set up my sims home to take care of 5 different places.. ex: tent, tree house, hot tub, shower, bed, and igloo. I tried all those places with one sim and my lifetime wish does not come true. Then I tried buying businesses and have the sim woohoo with the same sim in library, gym, bar, fishing hole, and sim's home. Still no lifetime wish. Plus I tried one sim per place... one sim in tent one sim in igloo, one sim in France, One sim in china, one sim at home. Still not getting lifetime wish to come true. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, I tried all these places with 5 different sims. One place per sim for 5 sims. Again the directions to complete lifetime wish is not clear to me. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. Charming Charisma :)

I'm really sorry that I missed your question for so long. I did update the instructions to indicate that it means different woohoo spots, as in using any objects or venues that allow Sims to woohoo. You do have to do it with 5 different Sims and each one's Woohoo spot should be unique. Travel may reset the counter.

For the presenting the perfect private aquarium can you use the All My Fishes Aquarium or can you just use The Shrinkomatic Fishbowl?

I have islands paradise and have used the cheat to unlock all the uncharted islands, but I still don't own them all. Each time I go to the islands it says that they are mine, but my lifetime wish still isn't completed. (grand explorer) What do I do?

Love this guide, and now I've got a question for you. I have finished my lifetime wish and now am a rockstar, my question is; If I change to a different career will I still be a rock star? Like can I still have autograph sessions and perform concerts?
Admin:
Unfortunately, the only thing you keep when switching jobs are tangible items - cars, rewards, things like that. You lose any abilities associated with the career.

No. You would need Pets or Supernatural to have the features.

I mean Generations instead of Pets. They are different expansion packs that come with the features. Sorry for the mistake.
