Lifetime Wish List A-J | Lifetime Wish List K-Z | Lifetime Wish Walkthroughs
In this Lifetime Wish list, you'll learn how many lifetime happiness points you get for each wish. Additionally, details about what traits inspire each wish are included. Use this to ensure your Sim gets the lifetime wish you want to try. Read my guide to How Wishes Work for details on how to combine traits to get wishes. I've also provided tips for each, to help your Sim complete the wish.
Leader of the Free World: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Friendly, Schmoozer, Ambitious
Goal: Get elected level 10 in the political career track.
Tips: Snag the Schmoozer, Charismatic and Friendly traits to help your politician Sim along. Getting a guitar can also help make friends. Later in the career, your Sim will need to throw campaign fundraisers. Make sure they're good parties and at the end of the night Sims will throw you cash on their way out. Try to invite the richest Sims to your party.

Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Star Quality
Goal: Raise 100,000 Simoleons and Gain Celebrity Rank 5
Tips: This wish comes only with the Sims 3 Late Night expansion. It's similar to Living in the Lap of Luxury, but the additon of fame adds a new element and boosts the happiness point reward. This is a great choice for musicians. Choose the charismatic and friendly traits to help your Sim befriend celebrities and gain celebrity stars.
Living in the Lap of Luxury: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Mooch, Snob, Ambitious, Kleptomaniac
Goal: Family net worth of $100,000 simoleons.
Tips: For those who wonder, net worth is a combination of property value (including household items) and cash on hand. So, when your Sim buys something, it does go into the household value, however, since items devalue over time, you will want your Sim to have more cash than property.

Martial Arts Master: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Athletic, Brave, Daredevil, Disciplined
Goal: Reach level 10 in Martial Arts and become a Grand Master
Tips: Get plenty of practice sparring. Not only does it help to raise the skill faster, it'll give your Sim vital practice that will help them to win matches. Stay on top of athletics as well. It does go up as your Sim practices, but rises more slowly than Martial Arts itself. A focused session here and there can help ensure it stays on par with the Martial Arts skill level.
Master of the Arts: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Virtuoso
Goal: Max both the Painting and Guitar skills.
Tips:The Artistic trait is a must here. It will help with both requirements. Take virtuoso if you think your Sim would like to earn money playing guitar.

Master Mixologist: 40,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish:
Goal: Reach level 10 in Mixology and own a bar
Tips: Use your Sim's cell phone to check real estate to purchase the bar. The cheapest is Eugi's, for about $48,000. Of course the investment will pay off over time, but you'll need to come up with the money first. It's difficult to make money at mixology so you may want another skill, or even a career such as Film, to help you raise the funds.

Master Romancer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Great Kisser
Goal: Woohoo with 5 different Sims in 5 different places
Tips: The 15,000 point Master of Seduction Lifetime Reward can be extremely helpful here. Otherwise, make a Sim who's a great kisser, and give them some socializing abilities like charismatic or friendly to help them build the relationships necessary for all these one night stands.

Monster Maker: 25,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Genius
Goal: Create 3 Monsters
Tips: This is primarily for the Inventor Profession/skill. At level 10, your Sim will get a multi-step opportunity to make the ultimate invention, a SimBot. Making 3 will complete this wish. It also works with making mummies in World Adventures, but will likely see a lot less use for that task.

One Sim Band: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Virtuoso, Artistic
Goal: Max the Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Piano Skills
Tips: Take the virtuoso and artistic traits to speed up this process. The fast learner lifetime reward can also help. This wish is a little silly as far as mechanics go. Mastering all four isn't as good as specializing in one and raising the number of performances the Sim has done.

Paranormal Profiteer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Eccentric
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Ghost Hunter Profession
Tips: This is a rather easy Lifetime Wish brought with Ambitions. If your Sim is going to be a ghost hunter, take Eccentric so you can get the option for this wish as it's a no brainer. You'll rise more quickly in the ranks if your Sim doesn't know the logic skill yet and can raise it in off hours.
Perfect Mind, Perfect Body: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Genius, Athletic, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Get to the 10th level in both Logic and Athletic Skills
Tips:A very easy goal to meet. Not as easy while your Sim is working. Consider joining the law enforcement career track so that they can put the skills to use.

Pervasive Private Eye: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Perceptive
Goal: Solve 35 Cases as a Private Investigator
Tips: This is a natural fit with the Perceptive trait, and is your go-to wish if your Sim is going to be a Private Investigator, as they will make more money for each completed job. You can accumulate a lot of wealth and happiness at once.

Physical Perfection: 27,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Athletic, Brave, Disciplined
Goal: Max both Athletics and Martial Arts skill levels
Tips: This one is probably the easiest new addition, especially since Athletics will rise while your Sim is working on martial arts. One trip to Shang Simla, China is all you'll need to accomplish it. Purchase equipment from the general store vendor to take a block breaker and training dummy home with you. Your Sim could even train a sparring partner back home once they reach a high enough level in Martial Arts.
Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Angler, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Have 13 Perfect fish in fish bowls around the house
Tips: A lot of questions come up with how to make a perfect aquarium. First, there are no real aquariums in the Sims 3, there are fish bowls. The aquarium is the combination of all those bowls. Find the bowls under the hobbies tab in the study (build mode).
To accomplish this wish, work on raising the Fishing Skill. Once you've caught some of the good ones you're looking for, drag theperfect quality fish from your Sim's inventory to the fish bowl. To see individual fish in stacks, click the arrow in the top left corner of the icon. Keep in mind these fish must be live in order for the goal to be completed, so feed the poor creatures. Also, they must be different fish, you can't have 13 perfect death fish and expect to complete it. Assemble a variety in your collection.

Possession is Nine Tenths of the Law: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Kleptomaniac
Goal: Possess 50,000 Simoleons worth of stolen goods.
Tips: Your Sim will need to be a kleptomaniac, and perhaps in the criminal career track to approach this wish with all you've got. Klepto high value items from wealthy neighbors, such as televisions and nice cars, to make it go faster.

Private Museum: 32,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Adventurous, Snob
Goal: Have a current relic collection worth at least $20,000 Simoleons.
Tips: Note the current. Your Sim will actually have to start a collection. You may not want to keep everything they find. Relics worth only $50 or so should just be sold. Save those that value over $500 or more where space is a concern. You may also be interested in checking the relic vendor in town. Objects there can be analyzed and proven worth far more than their 'retail value'.
Professional Author: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Bookworm, Couch Potato, Loner
Goal: Make $4,000 simoleons a week in royalties from the writing skill.
Tips: $4,000 a week in royalties is not hard to come by. Be sure your Sim is a bookworm to help increase the speed at which they can write. Perfectionist may help, as well. Your Sim really needs to stay on top of this wish, because as books slip off the list after 6 weeks your income will fall. Your Sim needs to keep building momentum over time to eventually reach this goal. Read my Writing Guide.
Renaissance Sim: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Commitment Issues, Workaholic
Goal: Get 3 skills to level 10
Tips:This is a good one. Every Sim can use three skills. How about Cooking, Handiness and Painting? It's all up to you. Try to pick traits that will compliment at least one or two of the skills you pick. This will help to speed things along. After all, while your Sim is working toward completing the wish, they must also earn a living.
Rock Star: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Virtuoso, Party Animal
Goal: Get promoted to level 10 in the music career track (rock path)
Tips:Although your Sim will be a rock star, they don't need to party like one to make it to the top. Band mates and guitar skill are all that really matters here. Toward the seventh level ,your Sim will need to perform to increase their rank. At the pinnacle of this career, your Sim will no longer hold regular hours at work, but be able to decide to hold concerts in the afternoon. Also, Rock Stars can hold autograph sessions (any time of day) for quick money.

Seasoned Traveler: 60,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Adventurous, Perfectionist
Goal: VISA level 3 in all destinations.
Tips: With World Adventures, this is the highest value wish to pursue. Why? It's the one that will by far take the longest. Your Sim will require multiple trips to each destination to accomplish this. Stick to adventures and try to find those that don't require so much tomb exploration to help things go faster. Be prepared beforehand with plenty of dried foods and a tent so you can handle tombs better when you really need to enter one.
Star News Anchor: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Bookworm, Charismatic, Friendly
Goal: Reach the 10th level in the Journalism Career Track
Tips: Star News Anchors require both Charisma and Writing skill to excel. Keep this in mind when choosing your Sim's traits.
Super Popular: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Friendly, Mooch, Party Animal, Schmoozer
Goal: 20 friends
Tips: This is very easy to complete with the charisma and guitar skills. Otherwise, hold plenty of parties, maintain friendships and keep moving toward gaining more friends.

Superstar Actor: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Charismatic, Star Quality
Goal: Reach level 10 in the Film Career Track (Acting Branch)
Tips: Take the Charismatic trait to help your Sim socialize with other Sims. The upper levels of the Film Career rely heavily on your Sim's celebrity level, and acting requires a high charisma level anyway.
Surrounded by Family: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Friendly, Family Oriented
Goal: Raise 5 babies from infant to teen
Tips:This is one of the most painful lifetime wishes for me. I don't like raising children in the Sims 3 very much. Adopted babies do count toward this total, so feel free to use this route if you are so inclined. Keep in mind that while a single parent could accomplish this, it'll be much easier to pull off with a spouse.
Swimming in Cash: 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Mooch, Snob, Ambitious, Frugal
Goal: Have $50,000 simoleons on hand.
Tips:Biggest tip for this: Save money. If you elect to be an artist, save up paintings. Keep in mind that buying a nice refrigerator and other ameneties can help your Sim to get job promotions by boosting their mood. This can pay off more in the long term than holding onto every Simoleon.
The Perfect Garden: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Green Thumb, Natural Cook, Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist
Goal: Grow eight different kinds of perfect plants on you lot at once.
Tips:The hardest part about this lifetime wish is getting all eight different plant species grown at once. I suggest having small crops of eight different plant species on your lot, which you can evolve over time. Read my Sims 3 Gardening Guide
The Tinkerer: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Computer Whiz, Genius, Handy
Goal: Max both the Logic and Handiness skills.
Tips:Taking both the handy and genius traits on this Sim will help a lot. Consider taking computer whiz as well to help things on the logic side. I'm not aware of any careers that have logic and handiness as promotion factors, but you should consider taking a career like science or medical that at least draws on one of them to make thngs easier.

Visionary: 30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Loves the Outdoors, Photographer's Eye
Goal: Level 10 in Painting and Photography
Tips: An easy wish to pursue. Take Artistic and Photographer's Eye as your Sim's traits to complete it even faster. Using a better camera (purchased from Egypt) will increase the rate your Sim learns photography as well.

World Class Gallery: 32, 500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits That Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Artistic, Photographer's Eye
Goal: At least 10 Photos each from China, Egypt, and France, with a collection worth at least 25,000 hanging in your home.
Tips: Save those high-dollar first-time photos. You'll have better success if your Sim practices on Sims and buildings at home before heading to the travel spots. Higher photography, and using a better camera lead to better first shots. Take some smaller shots to help you with making sure you have room on your walls for 10 from each location. They don't have be high value, just unique. Whip out panorama for the really valuable shots.
World-Reknowned Surgeon: 32,500 Lifetime Happiness Points
Traits that Inspire This Lifetime Wish: Bookworm, Friendly, Good, Workaholic
Goal:Get promoted to level 10 in the medical career track.
Tips: In the medical career track, Sims need high logic skill. They'll need to do research on their own time to help get promotions later. Otherwise, this is a quite easy career track/lifetime wish combination. Click here for the Pre-Ambitions version of the surgeon wish
