Beetles

Beetles are bugs that can be he hardest to spot. They're one of the more challenging items to collect in the Sims 3. They're not found in too many locations. Check the park, near water (one spawns on the way to or near almost every lake), and in small wooded areas between houses. There is one collecting challenge associated with Beetles: Beetle Collector. If you catch all ten types, your Sim will never fail at collecting butterflies or beetles again. Here's a list of all beetles in the Sims 3, with estimates of their value:

Cockroach: $1
Ladybug: Up to $10
Japanese Beetle: $10-15
Water Beetle: $25-30
Light Beetle: $40-50
Rhinocerous Beetle: near 100
Stag Beetle: $200
Spotted Beetle: $450-500
Trilobite Beetle: Up to 750
Rainbow Beetle: 1200-1400
