This page of the collecting guide will be the single most useful to those who don't have the Collection Helper Lifetime Reward. Here you'll find helpful screenshots of my Sim using the collection helper in both Sunset Valley and Riverview. Note that there is no distinction between, for example, beetles and butterflies on the maps for insects. Likewise, the maps for Rocks, Gems and Metals are non-specific. Find good locations and take note of them, and you'll gradually find some favorite spots to hit up every day to find the rarest gems.

I did not cover every square inch of ground, but this is plenty of data to collect every item in the game. Look for the insect or gem icons on the maps for locations. They generally respawn once a day.

I find that metals, gems and space rocks will spawn near stones and rocks in the town. Not sure whether this is really helpful though, thought I would just share it

Where is the Mushroom Map to mushroom spawnings? There is a Challenge in collecting called Mushroom Collector find 7 unique mushrooms, and quality of mushrooms grown will increase. I have found some mushrooms in Sunset Valley on the way to the Waterfall Stoney Falls and more near Crystal Springs. Truffles & Porcinis are hiding very well or are very rare and I am not able to find Mushrooms using the collector but they do tend to spawn near seeds.

Where are the maps for the worlds that you can purchase as their own pack, like Sunlit Tides and Monte Vista? I found a few gems and metals and space rocks near one house where my family lives. I just think a bigger guide would be helpful in the long run.
