High End Loft Stuff Pack Guide
A Review with Lists of Objects and Clothing
by Rob Kennedy (hosfac)

Please welcome fan favorites and stars of countless Dynasties and Legacies, Christopher Steel and Agnes Crumplebottom, who have both graciously agreed to help me show you around the High End Loft Stuff expansion!

High End Loft Stuff is an object bundle that centers around sleek and stylish objects, clothing and hairstyles that are as much about form as they are about function, and they deliver plenty of both. Designed for the modern Sim on the go, these aesthetically pleasant furnishings (to both you and your Sims) will help them meet their needs quickly and efficiently while keeping them in a really good mood while they’re doing it.

As we all know, buffs are the key to happiness for our Sims, and High End Loft Stuff provides plenty of those. You can expect to see plenty of high bonus “Comfy,” “Enjoying Music,” and “Pristine Picture” moodlets as your Sims go about their day to day lives. Plus, the Environment rating on almost all of these furnishings is so high, that you can easily put together a room that provides a “Decorated” or “Nicely Decorated” moodlet without even hanging a single picture on the wall.

The release of High End Loft Stuff coincided with the 10th anniversary of the release of Sims 1, so it became sort of a permanent commemoration of the franchise’s success. 3 legacy objects from the Sims 1 and Sims 2 were converted for the Sims 3 and included as bonus gifts: the heart shaped bed (pictured above), the electric guitar and the aquarium. These objects will be discussed in greater detail later.

I've encountered a couple of people who don't like the stuff packs; the reasoning being that, while they like some of the objects, they don't want to pay for objects that they don't like just to get them. They can just download objects that they do like from the store without being stuck with objects they may never use. While this is indeed a reasonable conclusion on some level, the retail value of this stuff pack is the real world equivalent of 2,000 SimPoints. So, depending on how much you like, buying a stuff pack could possibly be more cost effective for you!

To help me illustrate the beautiful furnishings included in this bundle, I’ve built a house that I furnished exclusively with objects from the High End Loft Stuff pack everywhere it was possible. Every object provided by the expansion was used, and a couple of items were used more than once. While there are a couple of build items in the pack, there were no wall coverings or floor coverings (no kitchen or dining room objects, either), so anything that didn’t come from High End Loft Stuff came from the base game. You can download it here.
Below, you’ll find a detailed listing of what’s contained in this expansion, complete with the items ratings and prices (and notes where it’s applicable).
