The Sims 3 Dragon Valley World Guide

Dragon Valley Guide

The Sims 3 Dragon Valley WorldRicalynn has written a Guide to the Sims 3 Dragon Valley World. It is fully featured and covers places in the town itself, Baby Dragons that are included with the World, a list of residents, and collectibles maps that will help you find all the rare things you need like Palladium, Pink Diamonds, and Alley Catfish to catch Angel Fish and reel in those Death Fish after midnight. This is the first in a series, with the next coverage featuring Aurora Skies. Rica has accepted to cover all the Worlds in this style, and that has me enthused about the quality of information I will happily host here. It appears we'll have the most comprehensive information on worlds all in one place here, but it'll take some time.

About Carl's Sims 3 Site

The Sims 3 Base GameBorn July 16, 2009, this Strategy Guide seeks to help Simmers from all over the world with detailed and informative articles, hints, and tips for The Sims 3 and its expansions. We largely favor a powergamer mindset, and shoot for making the most money, finding how it works, or doing things better and more efficiently. You'll find step-by-step instructions, and screenshots to help you accomplish things in the Sims 3. Collectively, we've written over 200 pages of content for the game. If you'd like to see a listing of every article we offer, have a look at our Sitemap. There you'll find a full list of articles, along with a search tool that will help you to track down the info you need.

We have a staff of 3, with Pam Marsden and Tom Schlueter helping Carl with guide writing and the forum. If you explore the guide you'll see we've had lots of help from our growing forum community. We have numerous volunteer moderators. To learn a little about our staff, visit the Staff section of our Sims 3 Forum. Many of our moderators have supplied walkthroughs or in-depth articles for the Guide.

If you don't yet have an account, sign up at our forum to provide tips and tricks, suggestions, and corrections to the guide. You'll be helping me to improve something that has helped over 100,000 Simmers from around the world. The Sims 3 is far more complex than meets the eye, and without readers like you this guide wouldn't be nearly as accurate and helpful as it is today.

Players are able to contribute information through the comments system. This allows the site to function somewhat as a Wiki, for players can enter additional information and discuss game mechanics to help other Simmers. Questions about the game and specific features can be asked on those pages, although I (Carl) cannot answer them all. Do not expect answers to be swift unless you use our Forum. Many bits of helpful information can be found using the site's search function, which goes through about 20,000 pages of content to help you find an answer to your questions.

I'm sorry for my bad English. It's not my motherlanguage.
I've been playing sims 3 for a while now but have never joined their website. I have now and I saw that you could buy awesome things to add to the game for simpoints. I just don't have any simpoints. I wanted to buy some but they seem very expensive.

Could you tell me how much 100 simpoints are worth in real money? Because I want to find the best offer, I can.
Admin:
100 Simpoints equals a US dollar, but that is on the most basic purchase (1000). On higher purchases, you get a better deal. Use the link in the news to get a list of all Sims items available on Origin - the Simpoints can be found at the bottom.

Have you guys considered doing a section on just the Gnomes the Sims games and expansions offer? I have every game/expansion ever made for sims 3 and would love to know all the Gnomes I can find/what they do... Just a thought
Admin:
Yes, someone has suggested and is even working on it. I'll ask her how the progress has gone. For now, I can tell you the new Voltron Gnome from Into the Future apparently gives enhanced Skill gains when it's around, but unlike others must be assembled from 5 parts.

I was wondering if there was a place to trade steam and or origin unused game codes for a couple of sims 3 unused game codes i want? Showtime and a stuff pack is what i am looking for.
Admin:
I'm not aware of any such service to help people trade digital games. Some may exist for physical, but that is because they often work in used condition. When you buy a game code, you own it and can't trade it around. When someone has a game cd with a valid key, most games will let them install it if not get all the web services provided if they had their own account. Such things just aren't possible with the terms and conditions of downloading games.

Can you remodel all of the dormitories in Sims 3 University, or just the one you claim? In some of the videos I've watched many of the appliances break easily and the the appliances are outdated. I'm guilty of using the money cheat so I can use my sims more, and I always make my houses to the extreme, it one of my favorite parts of the sims. But if I'm living in the dorms I want them to look nice.

I want to share some information which I feel will help those struggling with running Sims 3 Seasons and University with more success on a MAC. Recently I struggled with the same problems and discovered the crashes happened when my Time Machine was backing up. Whether it is the ultimate culprit or not, I do not know. Upon stopping the back up and turning off Time Machine I launched again and everything ran perfectly, perhaps more smoothly than before. If you are part of a forum for which this has been an ongoing topic please pass along this information. I am sharing it here because Carl has quite the nice site and I have enjoyed the wealth of information. (I performed no other actions other than turning off Time Machine...no cache removal or file rearranging.)

Ok, so i really need some help.... When sims 3 came out i went and bought the deluxe pack. I loaded it onto my pc and I have had no problems. I some where along lost my disk for Sims 3. I was then not able to play the game but left it installed. So yesterday I got all super excited because I got Sims 3 Pet. But to my disappointment when I tried to install the game it said there was an update that needed to happen first. I let the update install and when it was done it said it could not find the DLL file or something. Now my Sims does not work at all and I can not just re install it as I lost my Sims 3 disk..... Can anyone help?
Admin:
I would find the superpatch and download it to give that a try.

Hey everyone, I'm curious to whether anyone else has a similar problem to me. I'm trying to complete this opportunity for my teen. Its a monologue competition at the school, any ideas? It is ending shortly and I don't wanna miss the opportunity.

Hello I always come to your guide for help, althought I can't seem to find anything on this problem I have. So my girl sim died and I was only her in the household with her dog. She had over her boyfriend at the time of her death. She got struck by lightening. I wasn't to worries because I usually pause it (having my testing cheats cheat on) and hold shift click her and edit sim, I switch her trait unlucky and the grim reaper gives her some slack- but I couldn't this time because she was in a costume from te party she just had. She died, so I immediately added the boyfriend sim that was their to active family. Thinking I can bring her back to life.... Well here is the issue- anything he puts in his inventory I cannot see it- it's like it diappears. I went to purchase something at a store and wanted to see if I could consign anything and it shows everything in his inventory, so what do I do? Thank you Lucy!

So I was looking to buy the sims 3 and some expansions/stuff p's and there were often 2 versions of the expansion... One was PC Disc and the other was PC download, what's the difference?x
Admin:
With Physical (Disc) you actually get a copy of the game and install it by putting the CD in. With digital downloads through services like EA Origin, you can download the game and install it without a CD. Digital will get you the game faster if your net is good and you're not going to go to a local store to buy the game. I think that once you've registered your physical game on The Sims 3 official site, you can even then use Origin to download it anyway. Origin is VERY convenient and I highly recommend it, even when disregarding the fact that any purchases players make through Origin links (on Expansion Guides and such) will benefit the site by providing a commission.

Hi, I was just wondering what to do about moving my Sims out of the house in progression... I have one Sim I want to move out from my family as she has aged up and I want my original Sims to have more kids, however, the game will not let me either move out the one Sim in the middle of the game selecting the 'move out' option, and it also won't let me split the household in Edit Town. Thanks!
