Actually, this trait is very useful for sims who want to make lots of friends. Just play tag for fast and easy friendships. You can start with one sim, and then just click on all nearby sims to ask them to join, without wasting time with introductions. It's great for that initial "Meet 25 sims" Charisma challenge, and then all your future relationships will get a big starting boost.

I recommend having at least one member of the family with this trait, so that they can start tag games for the other members of the family to join, and the whole gang can make lots of friends, at the same time.

Excellent for the "Super Popular" lifetime wish, as the friends come very fast through tag.

I find it useful that childish sims can read toddler books and then get the skill bonuses for a starter sim.

This trait also gives a bonus to writing children's books, which is pretty handy for writers.
