Part 4: Traits List and Information

Traits
Traits are purchased with Lifetime Achievement Points. These are earned by completing quests and gaining skill levels. So, whether you play the game and complete quests or push to maximize your Sim's skills, these will be available to you. I find a mixture of both works wonders. You can only have one trait equipped at a time when you first start. You can buy extra slots but each additional skill slot costs more than the last.
Here's a list of Traits in the game and how some of them can help your Sim. I appreciate any tips you can provide as unlocking all of these will take a long time! Email any suggestions for this section to [email protected].
Great Kisser (5 levels) 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400
Sims can be harder to woo in The Sims Social than The Sims 3. You can easily harm a relationship by moving too fast. This won't be such a problem for Great Kissers, who will succeed more with their interactions. This Sim won't have any trouble collecting Love. At level 3, they can use the make out interaction.
Insane (4 levels) 150, 300, 600, 1200
Level 1 doesn't seem to do much, giving a Sim a new animation. At the second level, they can talk to plants. I've found this to be more useful than speaking over the phone for recovering social need at home, but it is not incredibly helpful. Level 3 is great, giving them the ability to eat their own shoe and recover energy on the spot. The final ability makes this my favorite: Talk to Self. This lets you recover social on the spot without spending energy. It's probably the most useful trait in Sims Social because of this.
Ninja (5 levels) 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400
The Ninjas I've talked to have been a little disappointed with their trait. Sims will walk faster and sometimes teleport with this trait maxed. If it gets your Sim there faster, it lets you finish spending your energy faster so you can go on to the next Facebook game!
Ogre (5 levels) 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600
This one seems pretty useless. If you find it helpful, let me know. To be honest some of the sound effects are repetitive as is, without hearing my Sim fart all the time.
Slob (5 levels) 75, 150, 300, 600, 1200
Slobs aren't bothered by Hygiene. This should reduce the need to take showers so that your Sim is easier to keep at 'Inspired' level. Overall, it will probably save you some time. At level 5, they can eat out of the trashcan. This could be helpful for collecting certain types of items but I haven't tested it yet.
Steel Bladder (5 levels) 50, 100, 200, 400, 800
This reduces the need to go to the bathroom in increments. This will never meet the level of usefulness of its Sims 3 counterpart. Your Sim will still need to go, just not as often. It's a cheapie, though! This could be mighty handy to keep a Sim's bladder in check when drinking coffee.
Neat (5 levels) 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600
Neat increases cleaning speed. At level 4, it claims to 'give things a polish' I suspect this could mean that things get cleaner than usual - thus increasing the time between cleans.
SuperMechanic (5 levels) 50, 100, 200, 400, 800
Repairing faster is nice, given the rate that things break down. Unless level 5 removes the energy cost, I am unimpressed.
Night Owl (5 levels) 50, 100, 200, 400, 800
This is like steel bladder, but will reduce your need to sleep. It will save you a little time in the game.
