Resorts in Isla Paradiso

The main World of The Sims 3 Island Paradise, Isla Paradiso, features three resorts. You are able to take them over and manage them, restructuring the business and raking in the daily income, or simply stay overnight with the family. Your Sim can check in with up to seven other family members at once, making for a great time away from home for fun and relaxation at the resort... so long as it isn't Hobart's Hideaway, which needs serious improvement and can be taken over for $0 Simoleons to let you start your path to Owning a Five-Star Resort on Isla Paradiso.

Here are the three Resorts of Isla Paradiso and their stats:

You need to place the resorts if you want to stay on resorts outside Isla Paradiso.

Is there a way to just buy resorts from edit town? And not the ones from IP but different ones, possibly ones made by other players?
Admin:
You can't buy resorts from Edit Town but you can place them. To buy a resort you need to do this while actively playing a Sim

You can own either or both of those resorts by buying them, but they cost money.

I am having a trouble with ALL my Isle resorts, even Hobart's which I now own.

No workers are showing up.
None at all!
I've tried restarting my game, I've tried going through all the options to hire them, I've tried to hire workers from Buy Mode, and nothing!
Not a single desk clerk in any of the hotels around the Isle, no Bartenders, nothing.
I would like to make some $imillions and check in :c

Can i have resorts in other sims EP

Krystal M. says...
I own this resort as well and have made it drastically better, I tore the whole original resort down and improved it, but it says that the rooms all cost zero simoleons so I have made no profit on it. I set the prices to moderate so I don't know what else to do! How do I fix this?
15th September 2013 8:43pm
Anonymous says...
Since you own the place, everything is free (this is why you should enable spa services- free packages for 60 simoleans a day? wow!), so you shouldn't be worried, also have you checked the finances?
26th October 2013 3:15pm
Anon says...
Have you set the rooms to vip? That might be part of the problem, also, any profit you should be making will show up at 7 a.m. every day, as a notification, like when a sim ages up.

how come when you open a resort on an island, it doesn't get that many clients?
3rd September 2013 2:14pm
Markessa says...
You have to make sure that people have a way to get to your island resort. A pier with cleats or some posts to tie-up to help a lot.
I ran in to this problem and solved pretty quickly by adding a pier with two cleats and scattering a few posts around. Makes all the difference.

Thank you so much for these guides! It's really wonderful for those of us who have limited time to Sim. Thank you for figuring it all out for us!

I own "Hobarts Hideaway" and have improved it drastically, yet the guests still complain about my pool being unchlorinated when it is. Anyone else getting this glitch?
Admin:
Try selling Hobarts and rebuying it to see if that clears it up.
8th July 2013 1:04am
VieveBeauBlue says...
You can click on the pool and it will give you the option to chlorinate it... For a maintenance price, of course...

AllieKat says...
Nikki says her pool is chlorinated.
31st July 2013 2:04pm
Lix says...
Read somewhere that if you extend the pool, you'll need to click and chlorinate those new areas.

  • Sunset Valley 2020

Inspired by Naga's improved Sunset Valley, Jaga Telesin and MrsFlynn have released Sunset Valley 2020 at our forum. This uses fixes from EllaCharmed's Sunset Valley map and works to improve performance and reduce the amount of stuck Sims. You'll find many of the lot types already installed and many new faces living in town.

There are both Vanilla and Chocolate versions to download. You can Learn More Here.
