This trait was designed for sims who fish and sims who fish only, if you are optimizing a sim that does not fish do not pick this trait. That being said this trait is amazing for sims who do fish it increases the rate of catching fish which allows you to gain more money, and the trait gives a raw bonus to how fast the skills grows as well allowing sims who fish for cash or money to get higher level fish faster but also making it useful for sims who only for the science career as it allows to met the skill requirement faster. This skill also allows sims to increase mood by fishing effectively making fish a stress reliever. This trait is practically necessary for the perfect aquarium lifetime wish. Also if your sim rolled this trait and you don't plan on having them fish for a career or join the science career, consider having use fishing for mood and LTR
