The Sims 3 Clone Voucher Lifetime Reward

Lifetime Happiness Points: 45,000
Gives your Sim a clone child when turned in at the Science Facility. Don't get weird, you can't marry yourself. This clone will count as a child of the maker, and starts in Childhood. It should look like the grown up did as a child.

The clone voucher isn't available for supernatural sims. My fairy sim doesn't have clone voucher in her rewards list.

I am having an issue with this game mechanic, I have a ghost that purchased the voucher, and cannot redeem it at the science facility. The building has a tag over it implying there is a special action but nothing about redeeming the voucher is piping up. I have used this lifetime wish before too, and know how it works.

Do the clones have to start from scratch, or are they given all the skills that their progenitor has?

The clone will automatically take three of your Sim's traits. Which three it takes is random.Then as it ages, if you do a good job raising your Sim, you can choose other traits, and if you do a bad job, the game will choose them for you. So you may not have an exact copy of your original Sim.And no they do not have the skills of your original Sim.

So i am in the new island paradise and got the clone voucher - but when i click on the science lab there is no option to redeem the voucher? I did use the cheat of life time points an i turned my sim into a mermaid by eating the kelp.
I have restarted the game but its in my inventory but not showing up as an option - help please!

I got the clone voucher but every time I try to use it nothing pops up I clicked on the science facility and it didn't show anything about the voucher then I clicked the voucher and no options popped up. Why isn't it working

I wanted to use this and/or make my imaginary friend real in a household with only 3 sims, but I was told that my household was full. What am I doing wrong?

I see a DOZEN of comments how it won't work. Well, I experienced the same thing. I've discovered that you have to stand next to it/in front of it. Otherwise it won't work. I don't know if this is to use or not, but if you haven't tested that you should.
