Lifetime Happiness Points: 40,000
This puts an item in your Sim's inventory that looks like a butterfly. When activated, it will allow Sims to choose a type of item to track, be it rocks and gems, insects, seeds, or fish. Once a type is selected, the map view will display icons with locations. In the normal town view, objects will glow brightly so they're also easy to spot there from a high altitude. It's extremely handy for finding obscure fishing spots, helping with gardening to find seeds, or making extreme cash finding gems from collecting. The collection helper lifetime reward is highly recommended to most Sims 3 families. The Collection Helper is updated to track minor animals with The Sims 3 Pets installed.

To easily get LTHP quickly type in testingcheatsenabled on at the main menu then when you start the game with your sim go to Lifetime Happiness with your mouse keep clicking around the chest it gives lifetime happiness!

I have Sims 3 pets for Xbox 360 and I can't find the collection helper not even in the challenge rewards list. There's just a bunch of karma related unlockables

I have the butterfly etc, all working except for one thing, i can click on whatever item i want the butterfly to show, (rock, gems, birds, ) nothing will show on the map, only fish.
I tried restarting, deleting mods, nothing will make the butterfly show things on map, only fish. please help me, please :'(

Does it last like that for several Sim days or just when you do it? The reason I ask is because depending on how large the map is it may take the game a while to think of all the locations. Also, especially with big maps, there is still only going to be one or two spawners for any of the minor animals so make sure you're just not seeing them. It can be hard to find them sometimes.

I have the collection helper and it was working fine until just now, as i can no longer search for insects, with nothing showing up on the map view when insects is selected. It worked before and i found many butterflies and bugs but it has stopped working can someone please help me

Can kids use the collection helper? My kid bought it as a lifetime reward, but he doesn't seem to be able to use it..

in response to Admin: See thats the problem it's a collection finder it helps find bugs and rocks as well what little kid doesn't like to collect rocks and bugs? they totally need to change it so kids can use it instead of just teens and adults it's kind of pointless if it's not usable by the kids as well. just my 2 cents lol

I give the collection helper to an adult, select the item I want, zoom in all the way down on the item I need. Switch back to the kids icon (don't go to kid, just highlight)and then have him/her collect the item. It's a little annoying and slow, but hey it works to get the kid to start collecting items early in life.

I really want this LT reward, but do you know what expantion pack it comes with, or dose it just come with the base game, I have all of the EP/SP but i dont see it, and my sims have 68000 LP, PLEASE HELP!!!!

I bought the collection helper and I can see everything on the map except seashells and turtles. I don't know why this is, but it only happens when I do it..I have tried several Sim days later but it just doesn't show up. I have all the games and expansions...could that possibly be the problem?

It could just mean that the spawners haven't happened. What town are you in?

I’m sick of it, looked up a bunch and it says it only costs 5,000 lifestyle points. No matter what I look up, it all says the same thing.
