Lifetime Reward Requires The Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion PackPermanent Mermaid
Lifetime Happiness Points: 5,000
This LTR can only be purchased by Sims that are already Mermaids. It will remove the requirement that your Sim enter the water in order to avoid transforming back into a regular Sim. At such a low cost, it's a no-brainer buy for any Sim that you want to stay a Mermaid to avoid having to get another piece of Kelp.

Hey, don't worry about it. It's a simple question :)! You see that tab with the chest icon (second last) on your Sim Panels? There are the Lifetime Rewards, in which you can purchase by using Lifetime Happiness points. Lifetime Rewards affect your Sims and households. There's some like Inheritance, which gives your household a spotaneous and insane amount of money from a random 'long-lost and deceased relative,' or others like the Observant trait, which makes your Sims learn about others' traits much faster. All Lifetime Rewards cost different points, the max being Teleporter, I suppose (75,000 Points). There is one in a certain category that allows you to turn your Sim into a mermaid, the Mermaid Kelp in Objects category. It costs 25,000 Points. If your Sim eats it, they turn to a mermaid, and you can then extend it with another Reward in the Body & Personality category. Hope I helped! Any other questions you may have?

Well, duh. Permanent means forever. They can still shower and all but just don't let them into the sea or a pool. Go into the setting and turn off the FreeWill so they don't go off doing anything.
